It's just awful. I mean, even if he thought this was a good idea for a "New York shot," why did he choose a part of the park that looks like the goddamn Meadowlands? What a tool

I've never been to New York and I do want to go, however, if I knew nothing about this city, this photo would, in no way, provide me with any idea of what the city is all about. It provokes no sense of wanting to see what the city is all about. Abysmal

Earl, not bad but, you need to work the image a bit more... The best way to shoot landscapes if possible is to bracket the hell out of what your shooting.. plus use a tripod... if your shooting digital, it's best to shoot with the raw mode on your camera.. Then you take thing image into photoshop and combine the various exposures.. buy doing that you create a High Dynamic Range image.. or HDR as there known.. here's an example of what an HDR image of NYC can look like...
