I am confused at the hatred Scotty gets for simply expressing his opinion when he was solicited to do so. I have listened to his thoughts a few times and while I find myself disagreeing with several things he says, his honesty is to be admired.
Maybe I have become desensitized to his view point as it seems everyone in upper level management, especially HR and Sales, shares his thoughts and to some extent are more extreme. I agree with Ron ten fold in that Scotty will have a very successful career.
As I see people labeling him continuously as a female cleansing product, it bares the thoughts of generations past and isn't in concert with today. I'm over 30, I get the resentment a lot of folks have for him, but Scotty is not that much different from anyone his age and also will find himself fitting in with today's society much more easily than those opposed.
To me the real discussion isn't his comments, but more where they come from and why they are so common among kids his age.

That Scottie2Hottie segment might've been my least fave segment in RnF history. Seriously.

Nothing about it was the least bit entertaining, fun, interesting, or enlightening about it. I simply couldn't believe that Ron kept going with it. The last time I was that bored, the guys were talking about Fred, website hosting, borrowing a van, and internet minions. Christ.

I hate sports. All of them. And always sit through (and enjoy!) the long sports-related breaks they guys do. I still get something out of it.

That bullshit with Scotty pretending to have an attack strategy with women was just so damn boring... that for the first time... I scrolled forward. After about 30 mins, I just found myself in bad mood from it.

Fuck that whole break.

all too familiar to me....
this ' i got it all figured out and you don't ' attitude...

got a stepson.. an adult now...

i stopped having 'conversations' with him decades ago...
i just 'make nice' talk since then...

he was always straightening out his girlfriend's father....
(the guy was elected mayor of his BIG town 4 times)

he doesn't hear WHAT you say...
he KNOWS what you mean.. he interprets...
and repeats HIS interpretation as YOUR words...
(he knows better than ANYONE, like scotty)

almost got me divorced a couple of times
before i got wise to the 'act'...

scotty, the same way... instead of keeping his 'genius' in check... to spring it on someone and use it advantageously... he 'challenges' you to interact successfully
with his superiority... (which has never happened yet)

I'd love to run into scotty 10 years from now...
after life's disappointments have worn him down...
(he'll probably try to sell insurance for a while)
and with HIS skewed hard-wiring as his only 'asset'...
he'll wish he had E-Roc's life...

Are you kidding?

Ron summed it all up perfectly at the end. This type of behavior hurts other people and it was the root of Fez's problems in DC.

As I listened to it a second time it was brilliant how Ron steered the conversation, asking about Ayn Rand, Erock and the more articulate Sam coming in was great and just highlighted the bullshit so it was blatantly obvious to everybody (except Fez until Ron spelled it out).

And the whole Dave being a liar unmasking was an added bonus

Are you fucking serious??? His honesty???

Hes a moron.

Hes so stupid he doesnt realize hes talking out of both sides of his face. How can you call a guy honest when he preaches being fake in order to try to get a woman? Id at least say hes honest if he said he completely bullshits girls just because hes trying to get laid. But this dumb fuck says hes searching for his mate. Thats not how you search for a girl you want to settle down with. As a matter of fact it may be the world worst advice on how to get a girlfriend.

Nope. I didn't hear the end of it. As I stated... after about 30 minutes... I couldn't fucking stand it anymore and I zipped to the next chapter.
That segment simply had no entertainment value to me. It was boring as fuck, unfunny, and most importantly... unTRUE.

Scotty is a liar. He does not go through life practicing what he preached during that boring-ass hour-long break. That was retarded male posturing. Nothing more.

I respect your opinion on this, I just see it a different way. Scotty reminds me of a cross between Patrick Bateman and any used car sales man you might find. he isn't confused as to who he is or why he is saying what he does, even if what he is saying is empty, without any real meaning. Scotty is the most representative on the show of today's youth, however sad that might be. His words and actions are symptomatic of a far larger problem in the young of this time.

I also agree that he makes for great radio, hell I wouldn't mind Scotty having his own show for a half an hour or hour a week. I could listen to him talk about branding, holistic humans, and his thoughts on even the most trivial things endlessly.

Lastly, Scotty is Dave's pupil. I would guess there is a lot more to what Dave has been teaching him and telling him that we don't yet. I wouldn't be shocked in time if it is revealed that Dave has a lot more to do with his assessment of others on the show.

Na ha ha...I did the same thing, and I've never even called the show before. Just infuriating.

Ron totally called it with the "American Psycho" reference early in the segment. Scotty's a stone psychopath.
