Tex looked so nervous before he came up, and was swinging at shit the entire at bat. I was not shocked he struck out at all.
This gives them a chance to win it at home, which will be even better.

As much as I wanted to kill something last night, after settling down I see that this World Series has been pretty awesome so far. Well, if the Phils weren't still in it I would still want to kill someone. For a little while.

Man, I said it: pitching AJ would be a bad move. Why force the short rest move if you're fucking up 3-1?!? Unless it's your ace and he looks good to go just throw out who you have and hope your stacked lineup scores enough runs. If not, oh well, you go back home still up 3-2 and your #2 and #3 guys will both be going on full rest. Now you need a 37-year-old to go the distance in the cold on short rest. That's not the recipe for success. CAPITALIZE, PHILLIES. Pedro, here's your shot to go out a god.
That said, tonight's game from both teams showed how managers can seriously fuck up their team's chances to win.

Why should they? Their team got the job done. Talking shit is part of being a fan. Granted that some go too far, but when your team does well you talk shit.
Im sure Philly fans in game one were doing the same.
It was just a little jab at Snoogans. Its been said, the Yanks fans have been alot better then some of the Mets trash that come down here every summer.
Good game. These fuckers give me high blood pressure even when they win.
This is Pedros chance. Hopefully this time well jump on the shnoz and not let up.

I believe that I saw on ESPN this morning (or last night) that Pettite during his career did not do well (4-6 record and 4.15 ERA in 14 starts during the regular season) on short rest.
In the Postseason, however, out of 5 starts on short rest, he is 3-1 with a 2.80 ERA.

It's risky to base such deicisons on such a tiny sample size. Girardi simply did not make the decision that was best for his team.
