Sweet. With all the brush at my place I'll use my open site 30-30 for shorter shots and my Ruger M77 308 with 9x scope for longer shots.

I've driven one of those just for fun. We mainly had a 500 gallon pull behind for spraying malathion into pecan trees. Talk about wanting to choke when the wind shifted.

Allright this might get lengthy. Considering pitching
An idea to my city involving golf and garbage.
Contracting w/other cities to bring in their
Garbage for a substantiel fee to build a base
For a 27hole golf facility. 2 tier 9 and 9. Final
9 on virgin land to facilitate club house / employee
Center. No trees or water hazards on the holes based
On garbage...will relly on course design and
Severe sand bunkers....decorative methane taps
Through out w/ lighting possibilities.

The did something like that in the next suburb over on top of an old dump. It worked out very well for the city.

Well, settling. As the trash decomposed it settles and can create pits. Methane is highly volatile and other gases stink so you have to take that into consideration. Plus, from the time the dump is "capped" to the time it can be developed is strictly measured by state and federal groups. It is a felony to cross into a dump, even if capped before it is cleared and this process can take 20 or more years.

Appreciate that as an ignorant I was hope'n
for a five year worth of intake and another
five to reclaim. Where should I look for literature
As I don't want to take advantage of your
Good nature. My county is small 5000 pop.
Needs jobs and close enough for others to
Take advantage of amenities...could be a boon
If they are willing to commit to a solid plan.
...and restrict their fingers from the pot.
Would hate to come to the end and be
Left w/others trash and insufficient funds
To reclaim.
You think these other towns would be
Willing to share their experience ?
Ups and downs ?

Initial cost is great because you must purchase the land, dig a big freaking hole, have it properly lined with a thick rubber liner, monitoring wells for contamination, then have it approved by both state and federal groups. You will have 10 years at the most in the life of the pit. After that it is nearly another 20 before you can develop it. There is a significant investment involved both financially and time wise.

My best friend is an environmental scientist so I learned this info from one of his text books.

...you aren't kidding, I must learn more.
Was aware of the well monitering, believed
Clay was a viable seal. Will not pitch
Aggressivley till more known....will be pitched
As very long term plan.....

Do have a skate board facility I'm considering
Will have boy scouts manage the project,
This will be more of a charity plan though.
Will get cement and steel reclemation
Touched for half , then seek grant and scrap
Cars for second half.... was going to save this
One for later, no time to plan like the winter.

Community comes from the bottom up.

It's not that we want him dead. We're here for him if he should have a horrific accident when he disappears from hear for extended periods of time. Just being helpful really.

Hmmmm. I thought he might have checked in by now. I understood him to be on his way home late this morning. I hope he hasn't been in a car accident.
