i am getting no personal gain out of ron and fez...i don't say my website on the air..but even if i did i'm not making any money off my website so that wouldn't matter..jeff asked to put a banner up on here, he even made that banner, because he was tired of people asking for the link...i told them NOT to put my website link up on wnew although they want to.

again i reinterate..i'm not getting anything out of ron and fez...i love them, i love the show, and i just am enjoying them allowing me to be a part of it. whether i was on the show or not i would still enjoy the show and listen. i don't get paid for going in studio..none of us do. i don't get special treatment. i might get a can of soda, a slice of pizza, or a bagel out of it. but other than that i just make lifelong friends that are sweet and genuine.

im so sick of holding my breathe, so, i think the
point here is that impact couldnt take it anymore.
there is a fuck of alot of ass kissing and praising of
people who havent done an effing thing to deserve
praise. there are people who are told they are
wonderful just because thye tajke off their clothes-
not just here- but in all of society- meanwhile the
peopel who work there asses off, who volunteer,
who are moral and non judgemental and kind
hearted- they get tossed aside because no one
see's them without their clothes or they arent as
show-off-y as the first mentioned. sometimes you
bite your lip and just accept shit and then you
realise WTF, it just shouldnt be- it shouldnt and i
think that was impacts point- he just blew up, he
couldnt accept all the bullshit anymore, maybe not
just FBP, maybe a few people he doesnt agree
with. whatebver his point, he is a DAMN GOOD
person-honest-mature-REAL-intelligent and i stand

Unfortunately, it's not up to you or anyone else to decide who "deserves" praise or not, Anna. It is a subjective thing. And there is a proper way to disagree. It's called living in a civilized society. Otherwise, I'd be free to slit the throats of everyone I disagreed with. Is that "freedom of expression"? Obviously not.

I forgive a lot of the posts here because I realize the age of many of the posters, and I was quite brash myself in my youth. It is still no excuse for poor manners, however.

If you don't like how the board works then don't read it..what do you want us to tell you? I'm not a big fan of a lot of things on this board or in life in general. No one will ever be happy with everything here or in society but ranting and raving isn't gonna change anything. You can complain all you want but the only thing you are accomplishing is irritating yourself.

I'm unlocking this thread because I'm of the opinion that I have a right to give my opinion.

Listen peeps, we can debate people's rights to give opinions all we want, but I'm gonna break down our policy as moderators in relation to fighting. It's very simple. There is a limit to the life of messageboards. Popular messageboards will inevitably degenerate and die. Countless examples of this have shown themselves since the BBS thing started on the internet. The main reason boards die is because Everyone becomes quick friends based on a superficial knowledge of each other. People do not represent themselves fully on the internet, so these friendships often become strained and broken. So, people fight. People also fight because they never liked people to begin with. This fighting makes people quit posting. The fighting threads becomes the most popular. Eventually, the love is gone and people only hate. Thus, the discourse that makes a messageboard great is lost. The board dies.

Our only goal as moderators is to make the board the best it can be and make it last as long as possible. So, we do our best to get rid of all the fighting. We discourage it. We delete it. We have waivered on this recently and I admit I was wrong in encouraging this to happen.

Are we pussies? Who cares. Are we prohibiting free speech? Who cares. Are people allowed to give their opinions? Who cares. All we care about is making this board the best it can be and making it last as long as possible.

If you want to fight with someone, IM or Email them. If you do it on the board from now on, it will be deleted. If you don't like this, we don't care. The good of the whole outweighs the good of one. That's the basic rule of human society. Get used to it.

I don't want to sound harsh. I just want you to understand how it's gonna be. If you don't like it, start your own board.
