Not at all Zathrus, I've just seen this type before. My sister's ex-fiance for example. On the day she got her associates diploma from B.M.C.C., when the whole family was there, he got a super stretch Expedition Limo, piled the whole family in, and proposed as we drove around the city. Then he took her to "The Windows on the World" for a romantic dinner. The whole day my mother was saying "You see, this is how you're supposed to treat women". I kept saying as long as the feeling is genuine, you could both be sitting in the middle of a mud puddle and it would still be the greatest moment of your life but my mother was caught up in the moment.

One week before her engagement party, my brother-in-law caught her fiance in a car with another woman. His story changed 3 times in the following week and my greedy sister went through with the party anyway, took the gifts, called off the engagement the next day.

I know I'm way off my point now, but he just reminds me of that type. And would you rather have a guy that would say all the right things in public just for the praise and humiliate you in private, or the kind of guy that never does the "grand gesture" but always has your favorite breakfast and the newspaper on a Sunday morning and you know you can depend on him?

I think I've even confused myself here...
