I remember that just because you got to stay home sick form school, It was still a quasi punishment because there was nothing to watch. This is pre cable, but channel 2,4,7 were useless as they were all talk shows followed but soaps. So you were left channel 9 and 11.
Now channel 9 was good for the "get smart" and the adams family, and later on the munsters. Channel 11 had the munster for a bit. But channel 11 was good for the noon movies. You could always count on 11 having a Charles Bronson movie on at noon.
Anyone else have some favorite at home sick shows growing up.

Spreading nasal joy like I was johnny appleseed or maybe its because I keep hacking up grannie smiths.... chewy, gooey fun.

"Leave It To Beaver", "Dennis The Menace", "Bewitched" and Channel 9's "Million Dollar Movie".
On Sundays, I never missed "Davey and Goliath".

I always watched Sally Jessie Raphael and Days of Our Lives..now theres a show you don't need to watch everyday and still be able to follow the story lines years later

It was when I had Mono Freshman year oh H.S. that I learned that mid-day television was aweful and my addiction to soap operas began.

I remember thinking that if there was nothing to wacth, I would at least watch hot chicks on soap operas... before long I was addicted to Days, One life, and GH.

I was addicted through out HS and college... I finnally was able to kick the addiction around senior year. Brendas's last episode on GH was the last Soap I have watched.

There is nothing more exhilerating than pointing out the shortcomings of others, is there?

I love lucy on fox from 9-10 AM, from 8-9 it was the I dream of Jeannie and Giligans Island on TBS, 10-noon would be a random array of game shows from $ale of the Century to Classic Concentration to Press Your Luck to the Price is Right, then from Noon til whenever TV just kinda sucked. and id lay in bed pissed. until the USA Cartoon Express came on.

Man I hated when my 3 sons came on. Long was that hour. Dude what was up with dad? Maybe he was having a homo affair with that old guy that lived with them. Thats why he never remarried.
