I was once out with a girl and we saw a bunch of kids on a class trip near Lincoln Center. "Oh, what little monsters, I hate them" she replied. I was stunned. Does anybody else hate children? If not, how many do you want? Damn, hating children..unbelievable!

i don't like kids. i think they're loud and annoying and messy. i love my little niece and nephew, they are the best and i'll play with them all day. but i hate other people's kids.

i dont like bratty kids, kids that are rude, have no manners, and are spoiled brats. but then again, it's the parents' faults that they're like that. so i guess i hate them more.
even though i like to play with them, i have no desire to have any at this point in time. i'm too financially and psychologically unstable. plus i'm not looking forward to giving birth.

i love kids, i was a nanny for a long time, i raised my lil brother and sister, i worked for a school bus company, and i work in a toy store now. although now is the worst cause i have to watched kids pick things off the shelves and just throw them around, knowing it my ass who will be cleaning up later.
and the brats that end up being dragged out of the store by their arms.... but i would NEVER ever say i hate kids i love them.
i do agree with jenn about the giving birth part, i think i might just adopt

I don't like kids. Esecially the ones that throw temper tantrums in the middle of a big store. And I love hearing the parents trying to soothe them and talk all nice to them. If that was my kid, i'd smack them right on the ass. I wouldn't tolerate that. But you can't hit your kids anymore for fear that someone will call CPS on your ass. I hate that shit....

Many people do not want to have children. The reasons are varied and range from not liking children, to not wanting the awesome repsonsibility, to worrying that they'll emulate their own parents and end up screwing up their kid.

Sometimes children absolutely need physical punishment. Until around age 4 for example, children lack the capacity to understand that if they go out into the street they can get run over by a truck. They do understand that if they go into the street, they'll get a swat on the behind.

Bear in mind that a "swat on the behind" isn't supposed to hurt the kid. It's supposed to express parental disapproval in ways the kid's developing brain can understand.

Children are not little adults. Their mind works in fundamentally different ways than adults. True adult thinking does not occur until about 16.

Take a look at the works of Mahler and Piaget for some really fascinating reading on this topic, as well as on the related topic of development and incorporation of the autonomous self and the relational self.

There are only 3 kids that I hate. One is my sister's friend's son. I've known this kid since he was about 6 months old and this new year's eve when he was 8 he claimed to not know my name. Plus he finds it fun to chase and throw around my 2 year old nephew. I want to lock that kid in the fire place sometimes and burn that little bastard. The other 2 are my niece's friends. Any time they come into the house they are jumping on the leather furniture, trying to eat any candy or food they can grab, and touch my brother in laws PS2 that I can't even touch without permmision.

All other kids I like and they love me, even to the point that my nephew chants my name.

Alleged victims take witness stand in molestation case against Bar-Jonah




BUTTE, Mont. (AP) - One boy described how his neighbor had put a rope around his neck and hanged him from a kitchen ceiling. Two others testified about sleepovers and how the man had touched them sexually.

What no one could mention was the other crime Nathaniel Bar-Jonah is charged with, a crime so heinous both trials had to be moved to other towns: Authorities say he butchered a 10-year-old boy and then cooked the child's flesh into stews and other meals he served to unsuspecting neighbors.

Bar-Jonah, who already had a history of offenses against children in Massachusetts, is to go on trial in May for the 1996 killing of the boy, Zachary Ramsay

I like kids...I wanna have a few of the little sperm spawns when I get older. And although some may be rude, I really dont get so mad at them as I do at there parents for allowing them to go out into the world like that...
When I was at Disney last week I had an experience on Tom Sawyer island where a child was running through the fort and came into the post where me and my girlfriend were going downstairs from one of the posts. The kid shouted "move" as he came charging towards us. Well I stopped dead in my tracks as did she and looked at the child saying "I know you arent talking to me". The kid definetly slunk away under the guise of discipline and I wanted to smack his parents more than I wanted to smack him...
