Another old show with a really cool theme song. Steve Zodiac rocked. There was nothing like those "puppetshows", like "Supercar", "Captain Scarlett" and the rest.

"8 bells and all is well"...sometimes.I saw Capt Jack in a store once.He must have been waiting for his wife or something,he was just standing there .I saw him and I guess my eyes widened up as I walked in the store. The jerk turned around, put his back towards me.
I would imagine he's dead, but I think if I ever saw him again,I would shove that bell right up his ass.

What a Wonderful World!

Chuck Mc Cann reading the funnies with Alka Seltzers in his eyes

If I remember correctly, he was reading "Little Orphan Annie" LOL!
Chuck was one of my childhood heroes, along with Beachcomber Bill, The Merry Mailman, Officer Joe Bolton, Captain Jack McCarthy, Soupy Sales and Paul Winchell. Remember "Mack and Meyer"?

"Mack and Myer" were a comedy team and they had a series on Channel 11 I guess in the mid 60's. I have to research this further. LOL!

Didn't Doodles do(wow) a silent skit type feature?I always mixed him up with Jack Warner(??).He was the guy in the old commercial who sold Cracker Jacks to that kid who didn't have enough $$ in his pocket.

One of the original "Good Guys"

The "Crackerjacks guy" was Jack Gilford.
Remember the dance contests on "Wonderama"?
The black kids ALWAYS won! LOL!

I found the"finding the right key for the treasure chest"game very stressful as a kid.

"Clutch Cargo" with the scary human lips on the cartoon heads was especially creepy.

Me, I just loved watching the Cap'n introducing Little Rascal cartoons.

OhmyGod - finally - you mentioned almost every favorite show I ever watched - are you my long lost twin? What about the Merry Mailman & Officer Joe Bolton? Tom Terrific and Manfred the Wonder Dog? I loved Colonel Bleep - he was cool...Thanks for a little nostalgia...

Go tell someone who cares...

Loved the Diver Dan, though I only recall one plot.
Diver Dan would go down and get stuck in some shipwreck and almost run out of air before he got out of the jam.

Fireball XL-5 was a great show. It was Gerry Anderson's first venture into Supermarionation. The Thunderbirds was even better. All his shows had the coolest opening theme [songs]. There's an Orbitz commercial that uses Supermatrionation.

All the Tracy brothers were named after the first astronauts.

Supercar, Stingray and Captain Scarlet were good too. I got all theme songs on a CD that I play in my car.

There was a time when actual effort was put into the production of shows for television.
