The master. What a legacy he left.
Rest in peace, Chuck. You will be sorely missed.

Such a Loss...
I once saw Chuck Jones give a lecture at Berkeley..( with a slide show of all his favourite and classic Bugs toons ) The crowd was in awe of this sweet, talented and demure man...They knew every line..every moment - like Rocky Horror, or Monty Python, etc. - he seemed genuinely amazed that an entire auditorium of fans could recite them verbatim.
At one point, some pretentious fool got up and asked, " Please explain the homosexual implications of having Bugs Bunny clearly depicted as a cross-dresser.."
Chuck Jones answered simply, "...uh..well..er..We just thought it would be funny to put him in a dress."
BRILLIANT.

The man was ahead of his time, and had a profound insight into the business and how to make a successful series. Almost every single one of his characters has become an icon. He will be sorely missed.
