First stamps were around 22 cents a decade or so ago...now the price goes up almost every other year...one more penny...one more penny...where is it going? And who is it going to? What is the post office really planning?

PanterA, comment?
Yeah, I mean really, does once cent really make that much of a difference to gain a profit? Why don't they make a drastic profit and increase it to a dollar per stamp, just like with everything else in this world. I'm surprised it's not a dollar these days, with inflation and all.

Well truthfully it's going to all the bosses giving themselves bonus checks for not giving out overtime.
Everytime they go under budge or stay on budget there raise goes up hire and hire that they collect at the end of the year.
But really it's because Mr. Post Office is trying to get in the Guinness book of World Records for having the world largest penny collection.

Ever been to a post office that wasnt full?
companies mail thousands of letters at a time...34 cents a letter is a big deal, plus if it's over 16 oz. then it's more stamps
