Direct tv what should i do?

I have been thinking about getting direct tv for awhile now and just wanted to know what people on the board who have it think. What are the pros and cons? Should i waste my money on it or should i keep wasting my money on cablevision (which i can't stand ) any opinions would be appreciated

pro:every damn tv channel you want and possibly more.
if you are into sports or movies you will love it.

con:
for all of those channels it can cost you up to $85 a month. No News 12 or NY1.
(however you can get all local NY chanells now)
sports packages cost extra.
installation can be extra.

If you love TV i say go for it, but it will take you a while to remember all the channel locations. At home I've had a DTV for seven years and i still dont know where everything is!!!

Pro: The WWF is back on DirecTV after fighting over contracts the past few months.

I hear you can get a high-speed internet connection from it too.

Deffinalty get it. I've had it now for almost 5 years and I love it. I only kept cable for UPN and WB and TV55 out here on Long Island for the Islander Games but now all those channels are on Directv. The initial lay-out use to be a huge amount of money but now with the price on the equiptment where it is, the value is worth every penny.

I listen to a little too much WNEW during the week.
