Do any hardcore hockey fans think that some of the Olympic rules should be applied to the NHL? For example, the 15 second faceoff, automatic icing, and no red line...and automatic one game suspension for fighting?
I know that a lot of hockey fans love the fighting aspect, but I think it's holding the sport back.

One thing I like about the NHL is they always change rules to make the game better. God how many times has the goalie crease changed in the last ten years, at least four.
I'd like two line passes allowed with the automatic icing if the pass is behind your own blue line.
I'd like the goalies to stay in the net and not go behind and play the puck.
Suspention for fighting? HELL NO! Fighting is part of the game, but shouldn't be in Olympic play. P.J. Stock is becoming a legend here with his awesome fights this season!

I agree with Fallon. The goalies make me nervous when they wander. I like the two line passes rule too. They should leave the icing rule as is though. And I will personally KILL anyone who messes with the fighting rules...they already rooined it enough. I love the fighting!!

I think the Olympic rules should stay in the Olympics and the NHL rules should stay in the NHL.
IT'S TIME TO PLAY THE GAME-AHHH!

One thing I would love to see in the NHL is a rule we used to play with in one of the Street Hockey leagues I used to play in - the "floating blue line." In a nutshell, the blue line is the same for gaining the offensive zone, but the red line becomes the blue line as far as keeping it in the zone. It keeps the offense going longer.
I also like the eradication of the Two-line pass whistle like the Olympic rules.
