ok, im usually not one to criticize other people's opinions, but there have been quite a few mentions of fight club and i just dont get it. granted the beginning was mildly interesting, but it had one of the worst endings in movie history and on the whole was entirely mediocre. some explain to me the fascination with this film?

fantastic dark and intense movie, fight club has everything. incredible performances by pitt and ed norton, not to forget helena bonhan carter. Dark and dreary filming, all the characters look so ugly and greasy and dirty, not typical of a big budget hollywood movie.
incredible soundtrack by the dust brothers, one of the most violent movies of all time and only one person gets killed.
nice story but the bigger moral of not succubing to buying commerical crap and getting things you don't need and letting yourself be free of all that shit.
plus the fight scenes were awesome and it was funny as hell with a crazy ending. i personally liked seven better but i can obviously understand the love for fight club
