I can remember that when Dallas would come on we would have to go to bed. Man did I have a crush on Charlene Titon's bussoms as a kid. The same with Victoria Principle. After I got a hold of my father's copy her playboy spread, giddy up! I can remember sneaky down the staircase to peep through the banister to watch Dallas and Falcon Crest . Praying my parents wouldnt get up to go to the kitchen, or worse yet up stairs to use the bathroom.
Anyone else have a show that when it came on meant it is was bedtime?
Spreading nasal joy like I was johnny appleseed or maybe its because I keep hacking up grannie smiths.... chewy, gooey fun.

I always wanted to watch "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson. If I was awake, I would always hear that theme song. Sometimes I would get up and sneak a peak. I thought it was cool. Applause, laughing and celebrities smoking. LOL

Bron, you sure brought back some memories with this post! I used to sneak down the stairs on the outside of the banister to see the original "Kung Fu" series with David Carradine because I knew the stairs creaked and that would be a dead give away. Then I'd sneak into the kitchen and hide under the table and peer into the TV room where my parents were and watch.
I can't count how many times I sat there holding my breath when one of them went to the refrigerator or the bathroom. Best thing is, I never got caught!

Good one Gvac, I forgot about that hidden technique to circumvent the creaky stairs. Sometimes I would try to slide down the banister, but if you had buttons on your shirt the scratching of the buttons would always do you in. And if you slid to fast, you would make that squeal sliding noise, another sneaking faux pax.

I remember when I was little trying to stay up to watch The Love Boat. I'd be really pushing my luck when I tried to watch Fantasy Island after that. I usually only got to watch it when I scammed the babysitter.

I always wanted to watch Johnny Carson as a kid. Sometimes on Friday nights my parent would let me watch it till I fell asleep.
