just take hempstead turnpike
east. it'll fork off(right after the
fulton street pub. another good
place to hang...anyway) stay on
the left fork. the fork is about 3
miles east of highway 135.
hempstead turnpike will turn into
Conklin st. make a left on Main st.
The Downtown is on the left,
right on the train tracks.

i'm sorry. i'm still convinced LI is the center of the universe.

I forget some haven't figured that out yet.

Take the L.I.E.(495) east to 135 south. from 135 south take 24(hempstead turnpike) east. then follow the previous directions.

FYI to go from The Downtown to Jillians:
Turn LEFT onto CONKLIN ST

Turn RIGHT onto BROAD HOLLOW RD/which is also called 110 south

Turn LEFT onto AIRPORT PLAZA BLVD.

I'm here in Central Jersey too and my friend and I are going to take NJ Transit to the Port Authority, shoot over to Penn Station and jump on the LIRR (stops 2 blocks from the Downtown)
We're heading back to an apartment in Manhattan afterwards so this works out great.
Just an idea if you want to get drunk and don't feel like driving...or at least you only have to drive home from your local bus stop and ya get some time to sober up.
Also, traffic towards the city on Friday's sucks.
