forgive me if there's a thread on this already but let's talk about X. i LOVE extacy. if there's anything better i don't want to know about it. i don't do it all the time or anything, just like once every month or two to go on a little mind vacation. just guessing, but it doesn't seem like there's a lot of drug users on this board. well besides thegamehhh, he's a maniac. but other than him i feel like i'm the only one. anyone else out there?

Speaking from a LOT of experience... X is really bad for you. I took about 8-10 pills a week for 6 months. It was all fine and dandy while I was taking it, but E screws with your seratonin levels, and 6 months after quitting, I started getting HORRIBLE panic attacks. This didn't only happen to me, its also happened to a lot of my friends. I was taking E a lot about 4 years ago, I don't even know what they put in it now. Be warned though, I wish someone had told me the negatives of E, everyone told me it was really safe. so BE CAREFUL

Besides all of the warnings i'm giving, its was a really fun happy drug.

i used to do e ALOT..like probably too much. for for about a 6 month span a little over a year ago. i love e. but then me and my ex broke up (the one i would do it with constantly) and i stopped doing it for awhile. since then i do it on special occasions like new year, certain parties...but it's always planned ahead of time, where as before it was just a given we were goign to do it every night during the weekend or week when it was the summer. last time i took e, i dropped 7 pills, or so i was told...i don't remember after the 4th...that was in october...that was the most pills i ever had taken..i'm not bragging, i was scared the next day, hence why i haven't touched it or thought about it since.

so yeah e is great...

my one complaint is that nowadays it's really hard to find great e.

Yeah good e is hard to find, but even bad e is good e, kinda like pizza. the most i've ever done was 5 and i was fucking DONE. i was out of my mind and it was cool. but i usually do like 3, 3 and a half. and i don't do it all time, because then it wouldn't be as cool. i definetly feel effects, my brain is a little out of whack sometimes and i know it's the drugs, but i don't think i'll ever stop. i feel if you just keep it cool you'll be alright.

you can never truly know your source, unless you know the people creating and pressing the pills. ** *****and ** sold E for over a year. got the pills for $6 a pill (you could then sell them for $20). got them from a good friend of ***, who in turn got them from a dealer in the city, that small timers were never allowed to meet. I'm sure that ***** got them from someone else, who got them from a chemist. still got shit pills sometimes, once or twice ketamine, once it was some shit that made everyone really sick. **** knew the source, but it never really protects you, unless you make your own shit.

Take it from an old fart like me whose been around.

7 pills is A LOT FBP. My personal high number of pills (in 24 hours) was probably 5 (but not all at once). I saw someone take 12 once and it was fucking scary. Ecstasy elevates body tempature, and he literally had sweat pouring off him. His temp was ended up being almost 105. You can cook your brain that way, so ya gotta be careful.

If you go to <a href="http://www.dancesafe.org">Dance Safe's Website</a> you can get testing kits and get test results of ecstasy pills. But remember "certs" pills from LA are not going to be the same as "certs" pills from NY.

I studied up on Ecstasy for a while reading lots of studies and medical documents and stuff, so if anyone ever has questions about it, and potential dangers or benefits, you can send me an email.

I just don't want anyone else going through what my friends and I did.

And its still REALLY fucking tempting to do, and I could never say i wouldn't do it again (although if you are taking a SSRI antidepressant, like Paxil - Ecstasy just plain wont work - Isn't that wierd!

one more thing, do you cats have sex on e? i never could, i think it's probably awesome but i'm usually to relaxed to want to be so aggressive. some people love to bang on e but i just never have. i don't know if that's strange

well... now I gotta put my 2 cents in this
I have always been heavyly into the rave scene weather it's promoting, spining, seting up for sound, throwing them at even at a point i was selling drugs at them
Extacy... hmmm... what can I say about... I used to alot... at one point shoveing 7 to 8 one night... i remember my record was 12... I mean I've been al over drugs... but extacy ... yeah.. must say was one of my top ones... I rememer loving the feeling... of feeling sooo close to people and whatever.. the sensation of a touch...
I remember when I stoped... I would just look at people.... and think how horrible and ugly and fucked up they look and think about the fact that ... wlel... that was me
I also remmber seeing a greta majority of friends ODing on that... some losing their spine basilcy... and some of the greatest most hapiest kids... become manic depresive... its really sad.... I just lost a friend last month... he was one of those happy kids... that had a natural level of ceretonin

god damn, 12?! that's a fucking lot, i can't imagine what that feels like. to respond to that and angrymissy's point, i'm just saying 3 or 4 pills every month or so won't harm you too much. it's always been fine to me. i say look at it like a little vacation. going to disney world is fun, but if you lived there it would start to get boring. in doses though, it the greatest place on earth. besides my bedroom.

I have never done Xtacy... and I really am afraid of it.. so I don't plan on doing it any time soon... I knew a guy who did it all the time and ended up very unhappy whenever he was not on it... it was sad... so that was enough for me to stay away from it...

i love beer, but nothing beat e. maybe heroin or something but i'm down for that. i've done my share of drugs and e is for me. it depends on the person on if they are depressed when they're not on it, if you can handle it and realize it's only going to be little vacation then you won't be depressed, you'll just enjoy the time you're on it.

I used to do a lot of coke, mesc, acid, even crack in my younger days. I used to get realy horny from crack but the girls I use to do it with would't ,so I use to end up beating off while they watched. I've only done E about 10 times, I like it but I don't really do drugs anymore. I kinda like being healthy, I don't even drink booze or smoke pot, but occasionally I'll drop some e or do a little coke. The trick is to not get carried away, Do everything in moderation my friends.

The reason that you get depressed after taking X is seratonin.

Seratonin is a chemical in your brain that makes you satisfied and happy (i.e. after you eat and feel sataited).

Ecstasy makes your brain overproduce seratonin, which is why you feel incredibly happy (SSRI's work in a similar way). Unfortunately, after you take Ecstasy, your seratonin levels go way down, which is why you feel NOT happy. After taking a lot of E, eventually the receptors in your brain which transmit the signal to your brain to produce seratonin can become damaged, leading to more long term problems.

I know that is confusing to understand, my boyfriend is getting his Masters in Neuroscience and it took him a long time to explain how it worked to me.

Just want everyone to make informed decisions before they use.

The guy we used to get our E from is dead from drugs. Did too much K and E and drowned in a pool. Kinda makes you think.

well i do know what e is..and what it does to you..i know what serotonin is..i read up on it for about 6 months before i decided to take it...and i continuesly read up on it while my e phase....

i know about dancesafe..and there's also two other sites i checked daily...pillreports.com i think it was and erowid...i was also signed up for an ecstasy yahoo group in which we exchanged information on whether someone had recieved a bad pill or if anyone had questions about it or the effects, etc.....

no you can not ever truely know your source, but if you've been to dancesafe you will knowthat there are testing kits you can get that are accurate. and i also would check the pill reporting site and check for all bunk pills in the area...i would never take a pill someone else hadn't already taken and was standing there to tell me about it.

people don't die from e...people die from the stupid things they do on E and from other drugs that have replaced E in the past (PMA)

i'm not an old fart but i've been around...

like figment, most of my friends that do e drop AT LEAST 12 pills a night...no it's not good for you, and they're brain i'm sure is mush but it's their life and i guess they figure it's too late now they already lost it all..:)

and no it's not that wierd that paxil and mdma can't be combined...paxil messes with your serotonin levels to balance them out, mdma depletes your serotonin level..so paxil probably just blocks the mdma from takin the serotonin.

about the depressed feeling...i've never experienced that..if i had i probably would have stopped right away too...

i will take e again..i just won't do it like i used to do..it's just not the same now anyway. i'd rather just sit here and pop some percocets or vicodan (oh yeah i'm out right now if anyone has any to offer...)

Just be safe :) I don't want to see anyone get hurt from drugs, i've seen it happen to too many people I know, so I might be a little oversensitive on this subject

See, I'm kind of really weird, since I don't do drugs that will....you know....KILL me or anything.

I've never done E, and I probably never will, cause I saw some special on it once, and even if it was all propaganda, it was DAMN good propaganda that put the fear of God in me. They did a Catscan of this girl who had done E a lot, and her brain was just GONE. They showed a healthy brain scan, and hers, and hers had all sorts of color distortions and huge gaps where her brain was just becoming mush.

I think I'll just stick to beer and maybe some pot.

extacy induces temporary bi-polar syndrome!!! Bi-polar is when you have no control over your seratonin levels. You go from being really high to suicidal, sometimes within hours of each other, sometimes for periods lasting for months. Sounds like extacy, don't it?

How do I know what bi-polar is like? because I have had bi-polar syndrome for 12 years, and will have it for the rest of my life. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. ANYONE!!

so yeah, it might feel good for a while, but there are some of us out there who live with it every freakin day, who will never understand why you would want entry into this world.

It's cause of the shit that they cut it with and the amount increases everytime... again the only real way of getin some real MDMA is by making it in your lab
I remeber i sold some shit that was cut with soooo much damn heroin that you'd even see brown spots... I called em the chocolate chips or the cookie mosters
you could also tell it was heroin...cause well...damn all these kids were DOPED UP

Certs were the best I had, back in 94, They had Green Spots all over em, I was hallucinating the whole night, and I only took 2. 10 of those woulda made me incoherent! So I'm assumin the pills are cut with more shit nowadays, probaly DXM or Caffeine

i don't know what they're cut with, but they all seem fine to me. you don't have to worry about the brain scan if you don't too it too much. if you just relax and use it once in awhile like i do you'll be fine. cigarettes on the other hand... that'll f you up

please recognize that you're speaking about a very generalized opinion..i have never felt depressed the day after..or anytime after...

with moderate use your serotonin levels are replenished within a few weeks...if you are bipolar, your serotonin is just unbalanced forever...no replenishing

i've tried it on 3 different occasions, each time only taking one or two. The first and last time, I threw up withing the first 15 minutes of taking it, and then right after i was feelin good! i'd do it again, but i wouldnt make a habbit out of it since i already have a history of depression.

i dont if anyone else here is old enough to remember - maybe heckler - but i remember going to limelight back in 1988 (it was still cool then) and x was everywhere. it was legal a few years before that 86 or 85 i think. the stuff was unbeliveable back then i havent had anything thats come close.

oh and motorolas are the best.

I did E for 2 years straight. 6 pills a night. My record is 10 pills i one night. I have taken green nike's (green pill with a nike check) Tom and jerry's (stamped with tom cat amd jerry mouse) I have taken too many pills too name all of them. I have a question who has candy flipped?
You take E and acid at the same time. That's an experience. I have had sex on E. It was great. Not better then when your smoking pot but it's up there.

The stimulant effects of the drug enable users to dance for extended periods, which when combined with the hot crowded conditions usually found at raves, can lead to severe dehydration and hyperthermia or dramatic increases in body temperature. This can lead to muscle breakdown and kidney, liver and cardiovascular failure. Cardiovascular failure has been reported in some of the Ecstasy-related fatalities.

After-effects can include sleep problems, anxiety and depression.

What are its long-term effects?
Repeated use of Ecstasy ultimately may damage the cells that produce serotonin, which has an important role in the regulation of mood, appetite, pain, learning and memory. There already is research suggesting Ecstasy use can disrupt or interfere with memory.

I quit it a couple years back when I took a couple at once that were laced with something (Of course, it was the first time I had had any without a testing kit in like three years), and spent the next 72 hours not sleeping, sweating and gritting my teefs.

Thanks, but I can do that WITHOUT medication.

Oh well, it was great while it lasted. Aren't we due for something new? Ecstasy has been the "new" drug for almost 20 fuckin' years now.

no more E for me. Definitely developed some long term problems from taking it too much (too much meaning, 10-20 pills a week for over a year).

and you can't really ask someone, what pills have you taken? even though they can have the same stamp, they can be made out of totally different things. I took Mitsus in 1996 that were totally different from Mitsus in 2000.

Ecstacy sucks. Done it a bunch of times, and everytime I did it I felt like one of the cast members of Queer As Folk or something. Go do some heroin or something, that's the ticket.

Back in the club days there was a few pills that where floating around that wwhere very deadly not death like but would knock some peopl eout...ie... green glovers & blue diamonds, white stars--the white stars where very think..The thing about e is that sometimes it hits you better after ytou throw up or pass out.. Nothing beats E & K together..haven't done it in a long time but the last time I fdid it i did 5 & they where lazy pills so I didn't even have any fun on them..

I did E once with my girlfriend. I fine but could not enjoy it because my girlfriend felt better. She could not contain herself or her feelings and I was trying to keep her from going nuts. Well, she ended up REALLY messed up for weeks and weeks. I could talk jibberish and she thought she understood me. She though she "understood" everybody like some psychic connection. Anyway, she ended up in the MHU of the hospital and it took awhile for her to return to normal.

I guess you better know your body chemistry.

Mitsubishis were THE mark of quality up until about 1998. You had one of those, you knew you were set. Then the dealers caught on, started stamping everything they had with the logo, and packing the pills with whatever they could find just so they could sell more.
