for any of you out there that care...today is international day of workers' struggle.

my father is a labor worker. my mother used to be a labor worker. we all know someone that is a worker. we all know someone that has been stripped from their human rights at some point.
anyway, back to your scheduled programming.

so justjon, you don't know anybody that is a worker? nowhere in my post did i make a reference to oppression. i said that we have all known someone or come across someone that has somehow been withheld from their human rights. from someone who works for the MTA with no healthcare to a new york times reporter whos editor told hir that printing an article about herbal abortions in the health section was inappropriate.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but with finals coming, I'll take a little of both! :)

Germs, for a 17 year old I admire your political awareness and intelligence.
As a former Labor Rep,I have to say that there are many injustices in the workplace, never mind society in general.
Sadly, most people don't have time to read up on what's happening reagding NAFTA, free trade, globalism and the WTO. They are too busy working, raising families and
just trying to survive.
This board welcomes all kinds of posts, but when one posts about serious subjects like the plight of the worker in a capitalistic society, chances are there won't be many serious replies. So Happy Mayday, sing the "Internationale" and continue fighting the good fight! :)

heckler, thank you for your comments. they are appreciated.
WTO+NAFTA=FTAA...but nevermind.

justjon, i would prefer some paxil...prozac and ritalin are too strong. i'd also like a genuine kate spade bag (made by real 10 year old sweatshop workers) filled with bricks.

The other part that Heckler left out is that this is a board about a comedy show. We try to keep the same tone as the show on the board and not take things too seriously. We're here to relax and have fun.

Paxil - Done and done
The bag is on back order. Seems they ripped the handle of the last one in stock when filling it with bricks, but I'll let you know when it comes in.
