Now, I am not a cat person, but i've noticed that many people here are.
I'd have to consider myself a dog person(even though i have no dog and 2 cats)
who here consider's themself a cat person?

I am definetly a cat person. Pooh, Fruity ass, and Whitey are my babies. I did have dogs all throughout my childhood and i loved them all very much but they bark and are big. Cats are just so snuggly. Actually my Pooh follows me around like a dog and comes to the door to greet me, she's the best. I love my pussies.

I'm a cat person. I love my cats much more than I like most people. I have a fat, orange cuddly male named Marcelli and a little, white, grey & brown adorable female named Skittles (or Doodle).
I have conversations with them all the time, and they're also little cuddlebugs. They're the best!

I like some dogs alot and some that i'm just plain scared of, like the pitbull...Not really scared for adults but children...
Never had a dog, I'm sure I would Love it but the idea of "mishaps on the rug or anywhere in the house" just bugs the shit out of me(no pun intended) Then having to walk them or let them out often could be an inconvenience. It's got to be a shame to make a dog hold it for hour after hour(just imagine how we would feel)
Have to say I'm a cat lover but not to the point where I would spend thousands of dollars to keep them alive...I
have 3 cats now and have lost two in the past, i balled out for one as I buried her in the backyard, but the other I didn't even though i believe i loved them equally...
Cats are easy to care for and each has a unique personality... They're pretty cool...

As much as I want a dog, I have to say I'm a cat person. It's cleaning the litterbox I can do without!

I was NEVER a cat person (I have serious asthma) but one day, this cat befriended me and my porch and she just grew on me. I had to put her to sleep (for a street cat, she lived over seven years) because she got so sick two years ago. I still miss her. So I guess I became a cat person after that.
A whole bunch of bunchies!

speaking of litter boxes...
i had one cat named Pepperoni, what a spaz...anyway, he'd play outside, say hello to me, then come in through the cat door, use the litter box, say goodbye to me, then run back outside...
another time i was getting ready for work and had to pee. i lived downstairs from my parents and nobody was home, so i was peeing with the door open, and then Pepperoni came in, jumped on my lap, then peed all over my white courderoys

i can't agree with you there. They are cleaner yes, and alot easier to keep. but smarter? I can't say that. I had a german shepard that opened closed doors. she would open the door using the knob. scratched the hell out of everydoor in the house, but it was a sight to see her jump up and do it.

I like both cats and dogs. Both are cool for different reasons, and both as much a pain in the ass at the same time.

I like both but I'm more of a cat person. Growing up we always had dogs. My mom hates cats. So when I moved out I got Tyler and he's the bestest. I love him better than all my dogs, even my mom's silly new puppy.

Furie,
two of my cats open the door down to the basement... the part of the lock that suppose to go in the hole to keep it shut doesn't catch... The cats realize this and stick their paws under the door and pull it open...Or if they go down and we closed the door, they push it open from the other side...
Dogs will do more because they crave your attention and satisfaction, it's kind of amazing to me...

I hav always been a dog person. But since my job keeps me out until late I could not properly take care of one.
Then one day while looking around at the pet store I found my sunshine and now I am cat person.

the diffeence between both is
that dog people like things to
be more comforting, they like
dogs because they are loyal
and give unconditional love.
cats and there people, are
more independant. they like to
be alone- show off a little
and trust less.

I totally disagree. I have had cats all my life, but my dog is a million times cleaner and smarter than all the cats.
She's part chow and they are known to be practically born housebroken and are very clean.
