NY Recently came out with a $25 ticket where the top prize is 7.5 million
Don't play the scratch offs but I will drop a few bucks on Mega million or Powerball

Never did em much
Even less now since I left new york
We play the powerball when the pot gets way up there and we buy a bunch of scratch tickets at Christmas time to give out (and then we pray to fuck that no one wins big on them)
total probably $50 per year

I buy an occasional scratch off, and I buy a Powerball or Mega Millions ticket if the jackpot gets really high.
I remember a while back I was looking over all the scratch-offs you can get, and noticed there are some that go as high as $20 a pop. When you start buying those, you've officially reached degenerate gambler status. Might as well find a bookie.

Every Sunday after church my sons and I would go get the newspapers and I would buy them each a scratch off. Still doing it years later (even tough my oldest is in college).

I have a cousin that I'll won't go with to a convenience store. He will buy $20 worth of scratch-offs, then sit in the car and scratch them all off. If he wins anything he figures he's on a streak and will go back into the store and buy more. He'll keep doing this until he hits all losers or he runs out of money.
Fortunately, he doesn't gamble on anything else, not even the Super Bowl.

i play the regular lottos when they are big enough to me to justify spending money on the stupid odds. Esp since the odds for Mega Millions just got worse going from 60 to 75 numbers.
So if powerball or mega is over like 100 mill ill buy a few bucks worth. If one of the state pick 6(shitty, but MUCH better odds) goes over like 10 or 15 mill ill buy a couple bucks. thats it basically.
As for scratch offs, I buy them rarely but when I do, I only buy win for life tickets. If im gonna win a grand prize on a scratch off, it aint gonna be for some 10 grand BS.

NY also has a $30 scratch off where the top prize is 1 million a year for life. THAT shit would be epic.

Va has a New Years Millionaire game - like a raffle. Best odds to win a million - only like 100k or so sold and the have like 3 million dollar winners.
