sounds like something other than an attempted mass shooting or even something all out violent
he walked some (reportedly), smiling after lifting his helmet shield (motorcycle or military helmet) saying he wouldn't hurt them
then he shot out some cameras and nothing else?
sounds potentially like a whacky/dumb attempt to rob a store there or at least something off the norm of what everyone was expecting with all the mass shootings of late
9:30 on a Monday is not a time you pick to do something like that…this is about something else

the mayor is telling people now he only fired 1 shot and then immediately left the mall, and that no one is hurt. Something smells weird here.
Especially on the eve of a state election. Oddly enough, during all this coverage, the woman who is running against christie had some anti gun ads run during the news. Just seemed interesting to me

Nothing quite like the media to overreact to a situation. If he farted on the way out they would have of reported "a biological agent was released at the scene by the gunman..."

They're going off of eyewitness reports who are usually too panicked to be able to say what is going on

Suicide by cop.
Only if he was a cop.

I'm sure the President will come out against gunmen shooting themselves and call for national legislation.

So does anyone know exactly what happened? Was the one shot they said was fired him killing himself or did he run downstairs after and then kill himself? And what happened to them sayin he left?

From what I read (hours ago), they probably never heard him shoot himself, and it probably wasn't an attempt at "suicide by cop", because the area where he shot himself was very isolated. Sounds like he had no real plan other than to kill himself, and do it in a half assed way that would make people notice. So... (my guess) He shoots the gun, runs to the isolated area, then shoots himself.

I don't respect suicide as a way out myself either, but at least this kid only took himself
forgive me if I'm not big on kicking the dead outside of those that purely earn it

its like 40 minutes away, which isnt really that far, but far enough that it would not happen. Besides, the majority of the "jackson whites" dont live in NJ, but in hillburn
