Have you ever dozed off while driving?

I used to work two jobs and on the second job I delivered for a Bakery in North Bergen called Spiekerman's. I was driving the van on the Turnpike around 4 am. I woke up in the middle lane and just missed the back of a car. I was traveling about 70 mph, I quit the delivery job the next day...

Never thankfully. Usually I'm wide awake when I'm driving for some reason, no matter how tired I was beforehand. Good move on quitting the job though. Eventually lack of sleep would have caught up with you. That's why I'm a big advocate of naps.

Have you ever dozed off while driving?Waaayyy too many times. The worst was when I was 19, I fell asleep while driving drunk and hit a parked car. If the hood of my car (77 T-Bird) wasn't so huge, I would have been dead. Instead, I spent the next couple of days in the hospital.

<marquee>I couldn't think of anything funny to put here in my sig, so I figured I would just make a marquee instead... When I think of something, I'll put it here... Maybe it will also scroll... Maybe I'll just have it sit here and look pretty... If I use different colors, it will enhance the beauty of it... Using bigger and smaller font size could be interesting also... IrishAlkey is a homo...

I almost did once about 2 years ago driving home from Philly one night aat 3 am with my friend Tessa. I got so sleepy and I thought I was gonna fall asleep then all of a sudden I saw this bright light in front of me and thought it was a car coming straight at us so that woke me up. I was too freaked to get sleepy after that.

all the time. i was dating a girl a few towns over and the road i had to take to get there had 20-25 traffic lights. i would come home in the middle of the night and fall asleep basically at every traffic light. sometimes i would sit through a green or two before waking up again

On a few trips to Atlantic City I know I have to thank those ridges on the Parkway. They have woken me up while driving back home a few times.

I have never fully fallen asleep but I came pretty damn close my senior year of high school driving home from baseball practice. My school was only about 15 minutes from my house but I would have to drive 287 everyday to get there and back. So one day, about 6 pm, I was driving home from practice and my eyes got so heavy it was crazy, I couldn't keep them open. I have no clue how I made it home, but I did.

IT'S TIME TO PLAY THE GAME-AHHH!

Here's a hint. When you hit a red light, that's your cue to put your car in park and catch some zzz's. When the guy behind you honks, that's will tell you you have to wake up and go again. You'd be suprised at your abilty to stay up after a short little nap.

need more hints?

let me know.

when i was doing my first internship straight out of high school i couldnt aford to live in ny so i commuted from princeton, nj to nyc everyday. my days would be 14 hours long so needless to say when i drove home i was dead tired. i was driving home on the turnpike one night and i woke to find i had driven my pinto under the back end of an 18 wheeler. i was luckly enough to only have 5 stitches. the pinto however didnt make it.

I think it was 94 or 93....i was driving home with my friend and his younger brother from Great Adventure and fell asleep. I went across the highway and slammed the passenger side into the guardrail. When i went to pull away from the rail my fender came off.....I never fell asleep while driving after that...by da way...i blamed the accident on some type of animal...I think my parents knew I was lying tho.

I fell asleep on the way home from a retreat weekend I was running. I was on Rt. 80 and I woke up about 4 inches away from the median... needless to say I turned my music on really loudly and I opened the windows so I could not do so again... scary stuff.

I used to date this girl in Westchester, and on the way home, I scraped the side of the car against the guard rail. Needless to say I woke up. Thankfully it hasn't happened since.
