This is great. I can't think of anything else to do other than watch this game. I just don't understand why Hall & Oates are performing.

I love the All Star Game too! Thank god I'm not alone. That kicks ass that you have tickets too Nurse...a friend of mine asked me to go, but I haven't decided as of yet. But either way, it's a great time!

The NBA All Star basketball weekend is always entertaining but damn why did they have to have all those singers/actors involved (Hall and Oates/Boys II Men/Soul Musaq Child/Will Smith) I was wondering when Oprah Winfrey and Bill Cosby would show up!
The Rookie Game was fun. Anyone catch that Jamal Tinsleey pass to himself, what the hell was that! Highlight of my night. (It was at 4 so maybe early night/midafternoon.)
The Hoop-It-Up thing was tight I guess. Loved seeing Magic, Moses, Sarunus lighting it up and Kenny Smith missing the "broad side of the barn." Justin Timberlake didn't do all that bad, wanted to see more shots by Brian McKnight and Jamie Fox.
Long Distance shootoout was solid. I gotta review the tape of the Slam Dunk contest cuz I went out at the time to get blasted.
Probably solid overall but they should have instead left out the whole Philly theme although it was appropriate. Maybe brought in Nelly to sing "Number One" or have R Kelly with his song "World's Greatest" it would have a type of NBA feel to it and they could display a montage of the best of the first half of the NBA season, just an afterthought.
But like Mira and the rest of you NBA fans, best weekend to veg out.

It was a better show than I expected. The Slam Dunk competition was good until they had to spin the wheel since half of them couldn't do the dunks. Also, Barkley was shooting off most of the time which made it funny at times.
The only thing that was weird were the performers. The reason why they picked them was because they were all from Philly.

DOWN WITH THE WHEEL! I felt bad for the guy who couldn't grip a ball like Dr. J and had to emulate it while he judged him on his dunk. I really wanted to see an "His Airness" dunk at least once and you got three turns of Dr. J... could it be anymore riggd?!?
I knew they were there because they were from Philly but that is not the reason why people went to see All-Star Weekend, ain't I right?!?
Doogie76, you are reciting song lyrics from Hall and Oates... now you must die, lol.

He had his chance in the All-Star game and choked big time. I would of have liked to have seen Kobe, T-Mac, Vince Carter, Garnett in it instead.

The dunk comp BLEW. Why a friggin' wheel to do dunks?
Make it mandatory for Shaq, Kobe, VC, spree, Jordan and other good dunkers to take part next year or they get supsended 10 games!!!
I hate David Stern, he's ruined a once great game. MJ cant even save it.

Let me tell you, I LOVE me some B-Ball, but the All star weekend SUCKED! this year. The Dunk contest was maybe the weakest ever, & the
"Wheel 'O dunk" was not very well thought out, it was lame. The 3 point shoot out was OK, im glad my boy Stojakovic won it, that kid gots a sweet game. Didnt even bother with the Rookie challenge thing. The best part was T-Mac's Dunk when he flung it off the back board. As far as the dunk contest they need to have Kobe, T-mac, & Vince be in it, maybe if they put up a bunch of cash for the winners charity of choice or something we could see better talent compete.
And the musical entertainment was just ridiculous! Whitehead & Mcfadden?? holy crap, what demographic is the NBA aiming at? i hope those guys made some cash but im sorry they looked more like a couple of outpatients from some kind of rehab center then some entertainers.

The NBA is dying a slow death. Ratings are down, attendance is down and the new TV deal the NBA signed with ABC/ESPN means less free televised games. We lived in a "Golden Age" with Jordan, Bird and Magic, those days are gone. Players today come out of college too early, showboat, act selfish and lack fundmental basketball skills. Look how bad the shooting is these days, and at how low the scores are.
After Kobe,Duncan and Garnett, the stars are mostly one on one schoolyard players..the NBA is in big trouble.

Jester what I was referring or alluding to was that I wanted to see one of the dunks that that are to be emulated done by those involved in the dunk contest this year.
