You always remember your first!
This was the first or one of the earliest bits I wrote that made the air. It was based on some daily News little tid-bit that a mobster got whacked in NYC because he was gay...allegedly. (Way before the sopranos story line)
I loved the bit and one of you guys topped the pyramid with an absolutely hysterical name. I cannot find the bit anywhere. It isn't in my files and bits I wrote at WNEW as it was before I was set up with a desk and my own computer. It was written on the green room computer and wasn't saved as part of my files.
anyway, does anyone have this in their collections. dukes didn't have it anywhere...surprise. which is truly odd because after the show someone called Al and was asked for a copy of the on air bit to play for some people out in LA LA land. RNF have the OK and off it went....for what, who the heck knows or really cares, but it was kinda cool.
Does anyone have this recorded anywhere? I'd love to have it and hear it again. especially when you go on interviews and get asked so what have you done lately? Duh.The same principle carries over regardless of the year, just change the names, places and write about it.
Ahhh, Cross the gig off my list.
I hope one of you crazed avid and rabid fans of ron and fez have it or know where I can find it.
Oh, it was written around June or July 2001.
thanks
