Looking to get a new tv and looking for advice. Was leaning towards Samsung 55inch led 1080p, 120mhz. I have an Xbox, so I don't see the need for a smart tv and don't really have interest in a 3d TV. Looking to see what others have or just general advice. Thanks.

Smart tvs are cool for streaming netflix other than that i dont see the need. I just bought a samsung led for the bedroom. 40in mounted tothe wall...fished a 25 ft hdmi to the cable box thats on a dresser. Its about 1ft away from the foot of the bed. Looks awesome.
I put fios in for work so i see ALOT of tvs. Samsung is tops in my book. And fairly reasonable pricewise compared to sony

I currently have a LCD, a LED and a Plasma TV - and hands down, the Plasma has the best picture. 55inch on the wall above the fireplace and a kick ass surround sound home theater system. The other TV's eat shit when comparing picture.

Too many issues for me with plasmas. Burn in, refilling the gas. F that.

all bs and linked to the first gen shit over a decade ago
i have two and never had a single issue listed above, and I watch sports, play games and put on plenty of "burn in" high level risk channels (sports/stock tickers).
