wow, first is serves him right for talking some shit!? and now 6'2"/225 lbs equals "little hobbit"?!

and watching kev blame, love, blame, love everything giants in a 4 hour game period is EXHAUSTING

You are seriously with Danial Snyder?

Figures...

When your team has been the doormat of the div for like 20yrs.

How about waiting at least 1 year to talk shit?

And after a game you barley won because the other team sucked balls and could not protect their QB.

But figures let Snyder get a pass.

You let the Dodgers get one after belling aching for like 500 years about the Yankees doing a fraction of what the Dodgers have done ever.

Fits the bill.

Consistency, you has it!

I went on what YOU just posted you dumb fuck, not once was Snyder mentioned. YOUR sentence/post made it look like RGIII said something and you went the road of serves him right...so yah, get pissed off about my take on your bs write up and thoughts.

Oh and how do you "barley" win a game kev? Not only is it off, since the skins brought the pressure and Eli makes plenty of mistakes without it, but it's classic clouded thoughts from a biased fool.

So not only did Snyder have nothing to do with this until you fixed your awful post, but the dodgers get a pass too. I love how you just fucking make shit up. You're the god damn equivalent of WF in the sports threads with your clear bias and inability to separate fact and fiction. STUPID is as stupid does Kev. Consistency, you has it!

WTF is Eli doing.

He is on target then does that.

Typical Giants.

and this ... You give Eli ANY kind of time, he roasts you.

Typical 180 degrees Kev. Go Dodgers!

and again, just because you want to say the yankees have only done a fraction of what LAD have doesn't make it so. it's one offseason versus the last 20 you fool. the dodgers are doing it for their first time, including the deals at the end of last season while the yanks have been continually there, hell the top payroll and usually the only over the lux tax line for decades. just keep saying it keviwf, and perhaps Mitt has this election won by a landslide too! :wallbash:

Just found out that RG3 got helped off the field with a knee injury.

If its serious that is an awful blow for the Skins.

Too bad for RG3 but serves that little hobbit right for talking shit after the game.

Nah. Doesn't look so bad.

As soon as I saw who posted above me, I knew what it would be. I'm so glad I didn't eat before watching that game. Griffin, or as Marv Albert called him, RG Griffin was crazy for coming back into the game, but that last throw is what made it so much easier for Cousins. Brave, unwise, and fortunate.

One of my favorite sights in sports is a big fatass offensive or defensive lineman lumbering down the field after picking up a fumble. They look about what I'd look like running down the field.

I know the Skins have a shot at the division.

But if they play RG3 this week they are beyond stupid.

1. They are playing the Browns
2. He is too valuable to risk for anything, even if somehow they win the division, I don't see them going very far into the playoffs. If he winds up tearing something because of it, it would be a disaster.

He is a smart QB when it comes to reading defenses and making throws but very dumb when it comes to knowing when to go down.

If he keeps it up, he will not last.

He already had a concussion and now an injury because of dumb and poor decisions while running.

He also took a huge shot in the Giants game because he did not slide.

PapaBear
12-10-2012, 06:11 PM
It's said that his injury is a mild sprain. The decision to play him will be put off as long as possible so the Browns will have to prepare for both QB's. And haven't the Browns wins all been huge upsets?

Last week was Vs KC...

The only decent they beat was Pitt and lets face it, they aren't that good...

are those ur only two options ?

if so I don't think ur gonna see the 4 td racking up 30-40 points rg3 even if he plays so I'd go with dalton
their playoff lives are on the line and it's not like the eagles shut out the bucs and cincy has better playmakers

i wouldn't sleep on ANY hot team in the playoffs bc it pretty much happens all the time now in the NFL

this is exactly the case with BOTH of NYG's SBs of late, same with GB and others

if RGIII isn't that bad, start him as long as no perm damage can be done

it's that simple

and on the cleveland front, they have played a ton of teams very tough and could easily make this a game. again, it's the nfl and there are rarely easy wins these days...except the fucking raiders

Kevin
12-11-2012, 07:19 PM
The Strasburg thing is much diff in a few ways.

1. The Redskin fans actually give a shit about the team
2. Stras was coming off a major surgury,
3. The Nats had a much more realistic shot at winning it all than the Skins do.

RG3 still needs to play smarter.

It does not necessarily mean be less aggressive, just learn when to take yourself down.

He will not make it 4 years with these type of mistakes.

spoon
12-11-2012, 07:48 PM
he'll be fine and learn as time goes it's not as light hitting a league as college

you seem to really have an issue with RGIII, but I can tell you that saying they would have less a shot with their solid D of late, awesome rookie rb/qb combo and so much more going in their favor in THIS league versus getting through 3 series in MLB is nuts to me. Even the top ranked teams get beat up and bested in the MLB playoffs, it's a crapshoot of late once you punch your ticket. In the NFL, it's about coming into the playoffs hot and they are smoking. they not only won 4 straight, but 3 were versus their rivals in division and the other the ravens leading their division with pitt/cincy in it.

No he won't be fine if he does not play smarter

He has already had a concussion and a almost serious knee injury and his rookie year is not over yet.

He got absolutely lit up a few other times too.

Vick made the same mistake.

And he was always hurt.

RG3 has a ton of talent and prob the best combo talent QB ever

Run and pass.

But he has got to be smarter.

first off, vick has now played for how long? ah huh about 6 with Atlanta, 2 years off to walk his dogs, and now 4 MORE in philly

second, RGIII is much smarter and a better overall QB than Vick ever was ALREADY

again, he'll be fine

next year the skins will be looking at locking in some top wr talent and probably more protection to keep him in the pocket more naturally

it's the nfl, people get hurt all the time...qbs too

That's what I'm saying.

When you gain yds for 1st down or you see a few defenders near you, slide.

Can you break some with his talent and go? sure but they are far and few and too risky.

And let's not act like a a good to great WR that he needs is a easy thing.

They don't grow on trees. QBs like Brady and others have gone deep into their careers before one was found.

it may get you some more injuries here and there, but also more versatility and wins as well. trust me, I love my qb to be pass first and go through their progressions well versus running, yet he is pretty damn good already with that and his accuracy as a rook. and nobody said it's easy to get a great wr kev, but good ones, much less upgrades to what Washington DOES have, can be found out there on the free agent market and in the draft. it all depends on their other needs too, which I don't watch enough of them to know the intricacies of their line play and special teams.

Hypothetical question for you all.

Usually, I believe that the Coach of the Year should go to the coach of the team that has the biggest turn around from the season before. In my mind that is clearly the Colts.

If others see it the same way, who would actually get the award? Chuck Pagano or Bruce Arians?

Tebow's probably out of New York. I have a feeling that the Jaguars will try to sign him as a last-gasp gimmick to see if they can make the franchise work there, but he'll be a bust there too and they'll dump him soon after they sign the papers to move to L.A.

the way shit is going in SD, the Chargers may end up on the move...makes you think this Norv/AJ debacle is premeditated to make money developing a mini football mecca in LA via Spanos's true love...commercial development. I hope the Jags do move there though, as I HATE LA and how that huge spot can't even support a team in the past. I'm not sure I could root for the LA Chargers...yet a team in LA will surely hurt SD's popularity and range.

I'm just more inclined to think it'll be Jacksonville because it's just so obvious that it's not working there.

But the way things are going, it wouldn't shock me if they moved to London. I think Godell would really love to put a team there, as much as that would fuck up the travel schedules of every other team in the NFL.

i actually think the opposite. Rice was on a team full of pro bowlers and had alot of talent around him to help draw the defense. The Lions have Calvin Johnson and 10 piles of shit.

A few things about that season. Obviously that was still a time when DBs were allowed to mug receivers off the line and QBs weren't protected to the extreme lengths they are today. Speaking of QBs, Rice got his record with Elvis fucking Grbac starting five games and in a situation with the Niners going away from the pass largely in the third and fourth quarters of many of their games. As for the Lions, they don't run the ball at all. Stafford is on pace to throw over 700 times this season and Rice's Target rate is still higher if I'm not mistaken, so if the ball was in the air in '95 defenses had a better than decent idea where the ball was going.

I have to say QB and WR stats are indeed skewed for years...much less on a team like Detroit that pretty much puts it up from start to finish, and especially late as they are tossing jump balls and deep patterns for the full 4th quarter every week it seems. Stafford is about to put up 5k in back to back years and it's NOT even close to as impressive as it should be. Johnson is a fucking talent, no doubt, but I'm with Razor in that Rice's feat is more impressive in my eyes based on all these factors. Yet it's like comparing Manning to Brady, both unreal, just one more so. Who that is usually depends on perspective, knowledge, bias and or feel. No right or wrong, just your take.

Yes, according to Matty Ice's Facebook account, there is still a way the Giants can make the playoffs:

The problem for the Giants, too, is that all the teams they need to lose need to win, so none of them will be resting starters or easing up, in all likelihood. The Packers can get the #2 seed if they win, the Cowboys must win or they're out, and the Bears are in without help from anyone else if they win. So, yeah, the Giants can start making those January tee times now.

get what ur saying but the packers winning doesn't affect the giants them losing to Vikings does

bears need vikes to lose actually since they went 1-1 against each other and division record is vikes 3-2 and bears 2-3 going into last week so if both win Sunday vikes are in based on division record

the one thing I don't get and maybe I'm missing a tiebreaker but to me it seems with a loss the skins still win the division

skins are 9-6 boys are 8-7 a boys win makes them both 9-7 ... 1-1 head to head .... 4-2 in division and then skins would be 7-5 in conf with Dallas 6-6

so even a skins loss should give them the division

giants only need two games to go righ for them then the cowboys loss

packers need to beat vikes ...... this is very likely since Green Bay is looking to get that 2 seed
lions need to beat bears .... less likely to happen unless cutler romos himself

If they end in a tie - then the tiebreaker is based on non conference schedule that they played. Dallas has a better record against common opponents

I know the funny thing to do (and probably rightfully so) is to make fun of Sanchez and call him crap, but has anyone in any form of media actually blamed Tony Sparano for this?

Now, I am in no way saying Sanchez is great, but the last two years with Brian Schottenheimer as the OC he was doing okay. Much better than this year, that's for sure.

Anyway, even though the funny thing to do is make fun of the player, I personally think more of this lies in the fact that maybe, just maybe Tony Sparano is a joke and the reason for Sanchez's slide. Seriously, aside from one good year in Miami, what the fuck has Sparano done?

Ryan wanted him he should get blame, and for the way team has gone about things. What Tony Sparano is about wasn't even used. He is called an O-line guru, wildcat/run coach etc. I don't think much of him but feel blame should go up higher than him.

it just shows how smart Denver was to pay Manning ANYTHING in the end to get someone even the most IGNORANT Tebow backer couldn't fight and you get a fucking outstanding qb for at least 3-5 years barring some crazy injury.

there really wasn't a soul who didn't see this move as a disaster (unless you believe Kevin) in the making as soon as it went down. now we're all living the back end of it out, and Tebow was a fucking fool too just for coming here in the first place. he could have wrote his fucking ticket in Jax, perhaps he still can, but he just lost a year on christopher street and broadway gaining weight by sucking down loads for punt team gimmicks and 15 plays in 2012.

well I've heard plenty of blame sent his and Rex's way...actually, everyone in the org or on the field has been blamed for their part. still, qbs & hcs usually take the bulk of the blame with this type shit...along with dumb owners and gms who force a coach's hand bc Rex CLEARLY isn't a Tebow guy. It's one of the things I can't blame him for.

A passing of the torch will soon be set in motion at the highest level of the San Diego Chargers, according to a club source. Chairman of the board and president Dean Spanos will transition out of his position overseeing football operations in the next few years, with his son, director of college scouting John Spanos, being moved into that spot. Spanos' other son, A.G. Spanos, currently serves as the team's CEO, overseeing the business affairs of the club.

When the transition is complete, the general manager and/or coach (depending on the structure at the time) will report to John Spanos since the general manager currently reports to Dean Spanos.
