Im all about entrepreneurship and free market solutions. Barack Obama tried government programs like Cash for Clunkers. Under a Romney plan lower taxes for small business. Under my administration its Greenbacks for Wetbacks
The only thing that can top Romney is Biden showing up to some NAACP event or a baptist church in Blackface
That's just about the percentage Obama won with in 2008. I'm starting to think that he could have some serious coat tails this time around
I'm looking at those candidates (Scott Brown & Linda McMahon) already divorcing themselves from Romney and thinking that's a smart play at this point.
Yeah but that's different because as you no doubt already know, Republicans in New England (pretty much an extinct species) are libertarian for all intents and purposes.
And here we go:
GOP Senate candidate cites Romney for bad poll numbers (http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/09/20/gop-senate-candidate-cites-romney-for-bad-poll-numbers/)
Washington (CNN) - A new poll out of Wisconsin this week shows Republican Senate candidate Tommy Thompson suddenly falling behind in his race against Democrat Tammy Baldwin.
Thompson is blaming the slip, in part, on the rocky campaign of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
I'm sure this is just the start...

I'm trying hard to think of a campaign that's been more of a clownshow and trainwreck than this one.
I mean, you might be inclined to think of the campaigns of someone like McGovern or Mondale, but in both of those cases they ran decent campaigns, but just didn't have a chance in hell. Maybe Dukakis '88, with his midget head poking out of that tank, or Bush '92, with him staring at a grocery scanner like it's black magic, but those were specific moments. Romney makes one stupid gaffe after another.

even when Romney tries to do something people want, its gonna make him look bad:
According to a summary of their 2011 return released by the Romney campaign, the Romneys paid $1,935,708 in federal income taxes last year on $13,696,951 in income, almost all of it from his investments. That comes out to a 14.1% tax rate, far below the top rate of 35% for earned income. But here's the thing: Had Romney taken full advantage of all the deductions available to him, the rate would have been much lower, perhaps as low as 9%. He donated $4,020,772 to charity (good for him!), but only claimed a deduction on $2.25 million of that. Why? His campaign told BuzzFeed:
He has been clear that no American need pay more than he or she owes under the law. At the same time, he was in the unique position of having made a commitment to the public that his tax rate would be above 13%. In order to be consistent with that statement, the Romneys limited their deduction of charitable contributions.
He claimed $2.25 million in charitable donations as opposed to the $4,020,772 million he actually gave.
Mitt Romney: " I don’t pay more [taxes] than are legally due and frankly if I had paid more than are legally due I don’t think I’d be qualified to become president."

Exactly.
Plus, Buffett needs that secretary, who is likely handling high confidential information to not be vulnerable fiscally. If that person is fiscally vulnerable, that opens the potential for leaks to his organization.
Its a wise investment on his part.

we may be seeing why ole mitt didnt release his taxes.
Apparently, while he was going around railing on China, he was tryin to profit investing in chinese companies. From Gawker:
Mitt Romney's 2011 tax returns, which were finally released today, show that Romney's family trust invested in two Chinese companies, a bank and a state-owned oil company. Then, as Romney's presidential campaign gained momentum, the trust sold the shares. This might not a big deal if Romney hadn't spent much of the past two years criticizing China for using unfair trade practices, and then faulting Obama for not being tougher on China's policies. For instance, Romney has said a lot of things like this:
"President Obama has spent 43 months failing to confront China's unfair trade practices," Mr. Romney said in a statement after Mr. Obama's announced that the government had filed trade complaints against China. "Campaign-season trade cases may sound good on the stump, but it is too little, too late for American businesses and middle-class families.
Doesn't sound so great now, does it? But here's the real kicker:
On Aug. 10, 2011, as Mr. Romney was emerging as a harsh critic of China, the shares were sold, producing a profit of $8,138, as the trust made money on the oil company but lost money on the bank.
So while Obama was spending 43 months not being tough enough on China's trade policies, Romney's trust was trying to profit from them. And then, through pure coincidence, Romney's family trust sold their shares in the two companies just as Romney escalated his presidential campaign (and criticisms of China).
oops. for what its worth, this was in the comment section, dont know if its true but if it is, its bad:
The bigger scandal here is Romney dumping his shares in Abortitron, Inc. His trust heavily invested in this company. The company is working on the first robot that performs abortions. Their business model is to have the Aboritron roaming every college campus and middle school playground by 2017. Romney's trust bankrolled this company for years, and coincidentally sold all its shares, when he began his presidential campaign.

From the Daily news...
Don't these idiots know that this shit comes out?
GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney stacked the audience at the recent Univision presidential forum with Republican activists to ensure he would get a raucous welcome when he hit the room, one of the moderators claims.
Mitt also pitched a fit just minutes before the broadcast and refused to come out unless the Spanish language network re-taped the introduction, said Univision anchor Maria Elena Salinas.
“It was a very awkward moment, believe me,” Salinas told BuzzFeed.com.
Romney was apparently upset because co-anchor Jorge Ramos mentioned that Romney had agree to give them 35 minutes while Obama pledged an hour to answer questions the next night, Salinas said.
There was no immediate response to Salinas’ claims from the Romney campaign, but she is a heavy hitter and one of the most influential Spanish-language broadcasters in the country.
Obama holds a big lead over his Republican rival with Hispanic voters and Romney was keen to make inroads with that key voting block.
Salinas said both campaigns were given tickets to Wednesday’s forum, which was held at the University of Miami.
But while the Obama campaign had no problem filling the seats with student supporters, Team Romney could not find enough Republicans on campus.
Facing the prospect of empty seats, the Romney campaign told the network that if they weren’t allowed to bring in outsiders they might have to “reschedule,” Salinas said.
Forum organizers relented and allowed Romney organizers to bus in activists who ignored instructions to hold their applause and clapped wildly for their candidate.
By contrast, Obama’s student supporters appeared subdued because they followed the rules, Salinas said.
“We were a little bit thrown because it was supposed to be a TV show, it wasn’t a rally,” she told BuzzFeed. “It was a little bit of disrespect for us.”

47 is the Magic number
The Mother Jones tape was 49 minutes with 2 minutes missing making 47 minutes. Mitt did talk about the 47% in that tape and he released his tax returns for 2011, 47 days before the election. Ivan Nova #47 was the SP for the Yankees today
also Romney was born in 1947

These republicans really are the fuckin best:
By most accounts, Republican candidate Mitt Romney had a very bad week. But that's not how Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus sees it.
Ever the optimist, Priebus declared last week a "good week" for the GOP when he appeared on ABC's This Week.
I think that we had a good week last week, I think in retrospect, in that we were able to frame up the debate last week in the sense of, what future do we want. I think we can look back at last week as a campaign in a couple months and say, this was the defining week in both campaigns, where I think both campaigns are crystallizing around a central theme, which is going to be, what kind of future do we want for our kids and grandkids? What type of America do we want for this country?
Don't worry, with as short as Reince is ... He can't see what the grown ups are doing, he just takes their word for it.

Ultimate proof Romney is fucked:
Mitt Romney's recent slide in several polls, including those in the battleground states of Ohio, Virginia and Florida, is troubling enough for the GOP. But, now the Republican nominee appears to be trailing President Barack Obama among a traditionally conservative constituency: NASCAR fans.
Obama leads Romney 49 to 42 percent among NASCAR enthusiasts, according to a new Zogby poll by JZ Analytics.
If he's even losing hayseed Nascar fans at this point, he's really up shit creek.

whoops:http://deadspin.com/5945741/you-built-that-how-mitt-romney-shook-down-american-taxpayers-for-his-welfare-olympics
What they don't talk about is how Romney and his Salt Lake buddies raised the money to finance the games. They took a page from the playbook of Bain Capital and other private equity funds, using an approach popular with the moneymen known as OPM—other people's money. Never put up your own cash if you can find someone else to do it for you.
For the Salt Lake games they found the biggest sugar daddy around: the federal government.
Many records were set at the 2002 Winter Games, but chances are that one will never be broken. That's the amount of federal dollars that Romney and his crew siphoned out of the federal treasury to help pay for the Olympic games: $1.5 billion. That was more than the federal government had spent on all seven Olympic Games held in the U.S. since 1904—combined. In inflation-adjusted dollars.

"A, we still have a ways to go. We still have a lot left that we're planning on doing," he said. "B, I think that's just what conservatives do by nature. I think that's just the nature of conservative punditry is to do that -- to kind of complain -- about any imperfection they might see."

come on man, this guy cant be serious:
Romney was speaking to the Times about his chevalier Ann's brush with danger last week, when a plane on which she was a passenger was forced to make an emergency landing after an electrical fire caused the cabin to fill with smoke.
"When you have a fire in an aircraft, there's no place to go, exactly, there's no - and you can't find any oxygen from outside the aircraft to get in the aircraft, because the windows don't open. I don't know why they don't do that. It's a real problem. So it's very dangerous."
Also very dangerous: installing roll-down windows in airplanes, the cabins of which depend upon precise levels of air pressurization to keep passengers and crew members from passing out due to lack of oxygen.

So then you say that when asked about why you didn't keep a promise. Besides, Presidential candidates get the same briefings and information that the incumbent President gets so it's not like he was unaware of what was going on.
So Ann Romney said this:

(Reuters) - Ann Romney told a Nevada television station her biggest concern if her husband, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, becomes president was his "mental well-being."
