did anyone check this out tonight? I heard the critics killed it, but I thought it was pretty good. Jeff daniels was actually better than I had expected.

The opening scene was not only amazing, but 100% true.

I enjoyed it, and really liked the breaking news story was a nice little twist when we find out exactly when this is happening.

It was a great narrative on what is wrong with American news.

And the show is off to a great start.

They set it two years ago so they could get the "right" take on how the media should have covered the stories.

I love how Sorkin is pissing all over the self-important world views of the media types. One minor quibble is that it directly plays to the biases of those self-important people who believe the news media sucks and that they could do it much, much better if given a chance.

However, since I'm one of those people, it doesn't bother me all that much. :smile:

I like how they used The Rock's tweet in the storyline. I really liked the episode. The scenes on the plane were great.
