I like the concept, I believe in the technology, and I'm reasonably satisfied with the security and value of bitcoins in the near future. My biggest concern is that once this concept really takes off, a flashy new competitor will comes in and grab marketshare, leaving the bitcoin network as the Myspace of the virtual currency world. I don't dare bet on bitcoin being a reliable store of value.

On the other hand, fuck tha police.

As a buyer, Paypal is great! It's really convenient, and they came to the rescue when some cocksucker on ebay tried to rip me off.

It's the sellers who get ass fisted with fees.

paypal fees are about 3% not bad, the bigger problem to me are the ebay fees of about 10-12%.

There's plenty of ass fisting to go around.

If sailor wasn't such a homophobe, I would prove it.

Also, Ebay is charging fees on the shipping for sellers now. At least I know they were within the past year. I assume they still are.

That kinda makes sense. Overcharging on shipping is the oldest trick in the book to avoid fees.

I agree, but it sucks when you aren't overcharging, but the item you're shipping is expensive to ship.

yeah but they had to change. too many people were selling items for .01 and charging $200 for items like cellphones and other big priced items. they were making no money at all off those sellers. i sell everything with free shipping now anyway because you are charge for the total either way.

I sell most things with free shipping, too. But a year ago I was selling a bunch of things that cost around $50 to ship. But with most items, having free shipping gets you more traffic, and your item ends up selling for a higher price anyway.
