View Full Version : What Suggestions Do You Have for Show Segments for Exploring Fez's Homosexuality?
When Fez came out, he got an initial bump of publicity but then afterwards he has done few new bits that have explored coming out besides daddy-hunter websites and talking about going to gay sports bars. Fez can use his coming out openly as an opportunity to go beyond double entendre jokes and fully explore homosexual culture in the heart of New York City. He can move beyond geek culture to enjoy a part of his life he repressed. He obviously needs a "gay coach" or a "beard" since he has no gay friends and the people on the show are not into that scene.
What ideas and/or topics do you have for show segments to explore Fez's open homosexuality?

I want him to watch old TV shows, especially "Three's Company," and comment on the shocking homophobia that Mr. Roper showed on an episode-to-episode basis. I mean, does he still love it like he did when he told the audience that he was an expert on "Three's Company" trivia.
I think he should have a segment where he has a staff member from "Out-Q" (Or even Kevin Smith's buddy Malcolm if they still have that contact) to ask sex questions to.
Fez should be forced to do something (not sexual) at least once a week without back talk. These things should include watching movies (why the hell didn't he watch "Bully," seriously), going to plays, attending wrestling events. I think it would be better if he did things that were somewhat new and slightly outside of his comfort zone.

That's actually a great idea. Plus he loves all those awful old 70s game shows.

O&A have this Starship parody song. Maybe Fez could take it out to someplace like Times Square, play it on a boombox just to see what might happen.

I still think it a good idea.
Fez is too timid to make a move in a gay bar or anywhere else. Why not bring in a few guys who know at least a little bit about the show and Fez and let Fez show his real self in the questioning.

Fez doesn't want anything to do with that lifestyle. He came out because of an ultimatum. Now that the attention's gone he's the same boring, talentless, burden.

While the boys are off, I've been listening to some of the shows from 2004 that I'd missed because of work and hurricane stuff.
It's amazing how Fez chimed in on any topic. ANY topic. Throwing out director names during movie talk, talking politics, and even threw in the name Sid Vicious during a music talk segment. My chick had to ask me who that was, because she didn't even recognize his tone or enthusiasm.
And this was when he was down in D.C. and supposedly just miserable as hell.
If Fez wants to continue to be a part of the 2012 version of the show, he's going to have to do some "homework" after the show ends. The suggestions above are a great start.
And, yeah, enough of the stupid self imposed movie ban already. It's just making things worse.

I think you're on to something with the movie idea. With the Tribeca film fest coming up, it would be great for Fez to see a bunch of independent flicks, documentaries, etc. He can come back and report on them, Ron can bust his balls for being such a popcorn movie lover, and so forth.
