The most insane thing of this week is the fact that I have a final this Sunday...yes SUNDAY. It's just plain wrong! :(

girl germs, thank you for asking! :) Today's Tuesday and I've had 3 so far...my last one is tomorrow at 8am (uuuuhhg). I had 1 this past thursday that went well I think, and then one the next day that didn't go all that great. The one on Sunday was open-book/open-note, so I think I did well on that. I'm most worried about tomorrow's exam, mainly because instead of multiple choice, as my previous 3 have been, it's totally written and explanatory...which can sometimes be tricky with my lack of a memory.
How is/was your portfolio assessment? Was it something that you specifically had to work on or was it based on your semesters work in your major(which is??)
Either way I totally wish you the best of luck! What makes it even more difficult to study and focus is that the nicest weather has been over the last few days too! :( I hope you're dealing with the end of the semester, and let me know how it's going!!! :)

i hope all goes well for you!

my last exam is tomorrow too. i think i'll do ok even though it's one of my least favorite courses i've taken this year, therefore i haven't really been paying as much attention as i should have. i had to give in my art portfolio today and then tomorrow i have to give a presentation (a presentation of me throwing up all over the place is what will probably happen, i get nervous.). the portfolio has to consist of the work i've done in my studio classes...i haven't declared a major.

well, i wish you the best of luck for tomorrow!

The most sucky feeling in the world must be failing a final before your summer vacation.
But I never did, so I'm still happy as a pig in s!

girl germs, I totally wish you luck with that presentation. I wish I could tell you something constructive about public speaking (that's what your nervous about, right?), but I can't. I always used to be nervous about it in high school, but after doing so many presentations over the years i got used to it.
I know you're not asking for advice, but I guess just make sure you know your main points of what you want to say, and practice some, to build up that confidence.
If it's not public speaking you're worried about, then ignore what i said. If it's your actual content in the presentation, I'm sure you did better than you think and just try and sound confident and proud...I use that strategy often, and it makes me sound smart. :)
Either way, Good luck and thank you for your kind thoughts ! :)

I think the solution is to go into school, guns blazing.
At least that's what videogames, movies, and television have taught me.

I'm sure the Columbine teacher who was on the ground bleeding to death, while looking at pictures of his family as he died would greatly appreciate that post Pootertoot. Bravo.

Student teaching is pretty cool.. actually it can be kind of fun.
and about finals... good luck... depending on what you are studying, they can really be a bitch. and be really happy if you are one of the lucky ones that don't have to take comprehensive exams just to graduate with your bachelor's. i had to, it was hell.. writing a 25 page paper and then having to present it to the entire english department and your graduating class was alot more difficult than you think.. and then there is the 3 hour written exam... and if you don't pass yer comps, oh well.. 4 years (or maybe more) for nothing because you don't get to graduate, even though you may have gotten a 4.0 average for all the years you have put in....
whoa.. thank god that is over for me.... now on to grad school :)
