Is there anything new on it that makes you guys so sure it will happen?

If they gave him anything longer than three years I'd never stop laughing. His body is already a train wreck and it's only getting worse.

The Steinbrenners will overrule Cashman even if he's against it. They're looking at this offseason like it's a dud and they'll do this to make a big splash. Plus it's really the only option they have to add some offense. Youk will pass and decide to play in Cleveland and when that happens you'll see them pursue Hamilton even harder.

Btw...
Someone does not have the highest payroll in baseball anymore..
I expect the same hatred from someone here for them that he has had for the Yankees.

here's the real question fuckwad
how many times will you say the SAME FUCKING THING as if I am for what the IDIOT copycat Dodgers are doing in ANY WAY?!
I want a cap, does that explain it enough simplistically for you to understand it's the setup that allows for fuckheads like the yankees to just buy their teams versus put them together and compete on a level playing field. And just bc the new yank ownership is cheaper than their father and his spend on whatever you need for the moment, I'm NOT convinced they won't be making some moves soon, much less stay below 189million like they claim. No fucking chance.

i've come to expect the same bullshit attempts to attack my stance on the MLB cap with nothing, NOTHING, other than a slight change in the spending landscape. another team is active this time, so what?
you know what is MORE comical than anything? your outrage with what the Dodgers are doing and how they are doing it. hypocritical and hilarious
my stance has not changed in any way...stop your stupidity
75-100 floor, 150-175 cap...that could surely change some based on the recent influx of money via the tv contracting (~45 million per team per year). yet you should get the idea...oh wait it's kev. he'll ask me if I'm pissed when Hamilton signs...yet now it's rumored he's in the yankee's sights

This is FAR from a copy cat.
The Dodgers under new ownership are here to stay as far as spending.
Copycats did it but still have not come close to matching ovrall payroll.
No goddamn ifs ands or butts or excuses.
No goddamn excuses
Much Much different.
It took the yankees years and years to do what the dodgers did in basically 6 goddamn months.
This is much worse than anything that teh Yankees did.
I fully expect the same bellyaching from you if they win.
No goddamn ifs ands or buts.

what are you talking about? this is copying their spend at will system to fill any need and mimics everything the yankees have ever did. think just as recently as 08 to 09, three HUGE contracts coming off a non-playoff year where you already had the top payroll. somehow they went from no playoffs to WS champs!
they don't have to win to hear "bellyaching" you dumb fuck. It's already a joke. what don't you get?
and for the record, the Yankees over the last 13 years have spent close to 2.5 BILLION dollars on payroll...the Dodgers are just joining the party and it's pissing you off for obvious reasons.

Yeah no.
If anything Seattle has a pretty good track record making trades like that.
They got something for nothing.

you're kidding right?
they got NOTHING for something
that farquhar guy was available via waivers all year and picked up by the yanks just earlier to this trade...meaning they could have had him TWICE for nothing. and that doesn't even begin to speak to how much he BLOWS! he was on the Jays twice, I know first hand.
DJ Mitchell, ha! In the end it was just something to confuse the Seattle masses that they just GAVE him away to a team he was interested in and had a shot at the playoffs/title last season. I hope he never makes it to the playoffs again based on this bs trade, his clear selection of NYY and of course where he resigned
basically, they got NOTHING for a guy who can still field, still throw and obviously at .261 (ended at .283/.322 with the yanks) BEFORE the trade being his worst year, still hit when motivated

Did you mean the other clubhouse's morale?
Nothing picks a team up like a 175 avg with risp and like 025 in the playoffs.
