It has a problem called Kernel command/ or panic, where it doesn't go past the load screen I had a ton of stuff on there from the podcast and Itunes. I'm actually just trying to get my info off the cpu like a goon I didnt back any of it up, if anyone has a clue how to remedy this situation thats under 500$ that would be great . Also went to Tekserve, they laughed @ how old my cpu was it was emasculating to say the least, I felt like Ogre and wanted to smash a nerd NERDSSSSSSS
Did it come with a recovery CD or did you make one? Be careful not to overwrite files if this exists.
What version of Windows?
Maybe you will need a live distribution of linux on a CD and then transfer files to a USB drive(cost $8 to $200 depending on size of files). Burn a CD, then put it in the CD drive to boot from the CD. Then having a USB drive attached transfer the files over. Works if the harddrive is still readable.

Or probably you will need to take out the hard drive and enclose it in an external USB enclosure. Then connect it to a working computer. Cost $50 for the usb enclosure, there are different types.
Is it IDE/EIDE/PATA or SATA harddrive?
