Note A: I know there are other cigar threads, but the most used one is regarding favorite cigars. This is different. None of the old ones fit.

Note B: I almost posted this on the culinary board, since I equate enjoying fine cigars to a culinary experience.

(picture from the website, #6 is the toro)

Kinky Friedman Lone Star #6
My wife brought me back this one from San Antonio last month. I never see any of Kinky's cigars in the local humidors, and they don't seem to be included in internet samplers so it was pretty cool of her to do that. This toro came out of the cello in near perfect condition, which is always nice. The criollo wrapper is smooth to the touch and there are no cracks or seam separations. The initial smoke was super spicy and intense but it changed to a more balanced flavor almost instantly at about 1/3. The initial draw was good, but not great. At about halfway, the draw is just about perfect. Retrohaling the smoke is somewhat harsh and spicy. I don't know that I would go out of my way to get more of these, but I would not turn one down either. I definitely will try some of the other cigars in the Kinky line.

I got some 5 Vegas from CI. I was smoking the Cohiba red dots for a few years, but recently decided I wanted to go milder for a while.

I like those; I got 5 torpedoes of the Gold from some deal. I still haven't tried the Gold Maduros, but they sound interesting.

Have you had any Illusiones yet? I hear good things about them. I still haven't had and Undercrown or any other Ligas. I've had the OSA once but is was a little mild for my taste.

not that I can remember about the illusones. I'll have to check when I get home. I have had the flying pig before.....wow. Shoot, I have also found my self leaning to bold. Oh well, they say it is a good smoke.

The reason I got the undercrown is because of the number 9

Imagine my surprise today getting home from errands to find that UPS doesn't give two shits about MLK and delivered me some Tatuaje Havana VI and La Riquezas.

Currently (La Riqueza):

Haven't had these before but it's a nice mild/medium from Pete Johnson. Goes good with my homemade espresso drink.

1/2 cup milk nuked, froth in 2T sugar, guzzle it to the top with fresh espresso.

No Tatiana, I haven't had one of those. The Tatuaje Havana VI's are one of my favorites though.

I usually either order from Famous or Cigars Intl. Lately I've been getting 5 packs for about 15 bucks and free shipping on Famous's Cigar Monster Mash Up that you linked awhile back.

Cigarbid seems like it would take too much energy to weed out all the horseshit. All I see on there is fools paying too much for what they get.

Yuck. I just got a 5 pack of Conuco 60's for 10 bucks as an afterthought on an order. This cigar is an "affordable" line made by Rocky Patel for Famous. I lit one up a bit ago and ended up tossing it after 5 minutes. The ash was coal black and the smoke was bitter and tasted slightly like mayonnaise. I still have four more of these damn things. It gets good reviews so hopefully it was a fluke.

It did tunnel a bit when I lit it.

So I had another of the Conucos the other day and it was good. Ash was light grey, draw was perfect, no hot mayo flavor. It really hit a nice flavor when it was almost done. So here I am smoking another one and the ash is dark grey, the burn is running like the joints you rolled in elementary school, and the flavor is not that great. So, it's a low-end handrolled, I wish it was better because the good one was good.

I don't know wtf is up with my cigars. I have had a lot of cigars tunneling on me with no apparent logic. Cigars that have sat in my humidor for months will tunnel while cigars that have been there just as long won't. Same goes for cigars that are pretty new to the humidor; some burn perfect others tunnel and fight me the whole way. I don't get it.

How was the 777? I can order a 5-pk of the toro on cigar monster for the next 3 hours for 18 bucks and it sounds interesting. I have been craving maduros lately and don't really have any.

I'd been craving maduro and I had two options in my humidor. I went with the Jesus Fuego 777 and it came through. Yay.

Here I am again, enjoying the fuck out of the last third of a Tatuaje. The first 2/3 are good, but the last one is like sweet nicotine-laden candy.

If your cigar wrapper is brown paper, it's not a cigar wrapper. It's a big rolling paper that someone dyed brown.

actually its a tobacco leaf. You carefully remove it from the outside of the thing. Blunt Wraps are for fags
