If they do it right, they'll take their olive salad (which, again, if done right is basically olives and giardiniera), and let that soak into real "Muffaletta bread" (kinda like focaccia, but not), then salami, ham, pepperoni, capicola, provolone and emmentaler (another "swiss" like cheese, but usually they'll go cheap and just give you plain ol swiss).

Some places will heat it up and soften the cheese a bit... but even if they don't, it's pretty damn tasty.

If you're ever in New Orleans, find your way to the "Central Grocery", and check it out. They invented the thing, so it's the only place to find a "true" muffaletta... but a lot of other places try.

And look at the size of the bread before you order "one". A "whole" sandwich has been known to feed up to 4 people. They sell quarter and half sammiches too. They beat Ronnie B to the punch on the "half slice" idea.

I have to agree those assholes piss me off sooo much too. If I, or others, bc I don't go too much over the limit, who are you to say they can't. If they can handle it, aren't 90 and who knows, may have an emergency, who are you to make that call for them.
