100 Grand for womens bathrooms in firehouses

Before anyone cries sexism here's my problem with it. Fire depts are locally funded thru property taxes. Why should people in other states subsidize this. Now if municipalities want to bring this up for a vote then theres no issue.

If this goes thru its a slippery slope. Whats next ? Bathrooms and showers for gays?

Also a bathroom can be made to suit a womans needs for less than 100k

if you are talking to me then I did mention " up to" i never said they would all cost that much but not 1 should cost that much. Is there really need for full locker rooms? Do men have full locker rooms or just shower stales with some school lockers? There isnt a firehouse in the country that would have that many women working at 1 time. If a firehouse has 100 firemen (which is a lot more then I think any 1 firehouse would have) maybe 5 would be women.

My town has about 70 firemen total with close to 100,000 resident and we have 3 firehouses. Thats a total of 23 per house. they could add a full addition to the firehouses for less then $100k.

I have no problem with them making every firehouse have 2 bathrooms. I dont understand why a toilet sink and shower would, could or should cost up to $100,000? Fire jobs should go to all those who are qualified. Color nor sex should matter and the fire house should work well for all working there. That being said there should be standard testing across the board. No grading curves for skin color and no fitness curves for sex.

Color has nothing to do with promotions when its test based about a job that everyone currently works on. If some pass then those should get the promotion. There cant be a quota on promotions for sex or color especially when it is performance based or in this case where you are all tested on the jobs you currently hold. If you dont score high enough thats on you and you not knowing your own job as well as someone else. The color of ones skin had nothing to do with why you didnt do well it was your lack of knowledge of your job and what it takes to be the next level.

I would rather see someone get promotions based on testing their current job and what required on their possible new job rather then being promoted by someones opinion. When a promotion is given by a manager or owner then ability and performance will or can be overlooked and those in charge may promote based on ones prejudice or friendships/ family members etc. Thats wrong!
