i was on my PC, using it like normal. i have a 14 inch non widescreen LCD monitor, its pretty old. As im using it, the screen goes back, comes back, black, back for like 10 seconds, then just goes dead black. i figured it was coming but, still sucks.

Thankfully, partly to make sure it was the monitor and not my video card, i remembered i have PC input on my tv. So right now, while not having tv, im using a 32 inch LCD widescreen to do shit. Its pretty sick, except my desk is not big enough, so im sitting like 3 feet away, and everything is too big and bright.

oh yea, it sucks that i have to get another monitor now. Should I just buy like a 19 or 20 inch LCD HD tv and use that as a monitor? you can fuckin get one for like 140 bucks from a good company. would that just be better?

You want a real monitor, not a TV, because I'm sure your computer can do way better than even 1080p resolution.

Saw this one on Newegg, it looks pretty sweet:

that shit looks pretty nice, but i dont wanna wait for shipping. And to be honest, like i said my shit was old, but my TV is 720P and it looks as good if not better than my old monitor did.

Determine your price range, then browse Newegg or Dell for highly-rated models. Unless you have some specific attribute you're really looking for, they're all more or less the same.

Though I've never bought a monitor from Newegg, I highly recommend them. Their service is terrific. Plus, for the most part, their user reviews are very accurate. Always take the cheapest shipping method, because it's fast. Most items leave out of Edison, NJ, so economy shipping to you would take about 2 or 3 days.

newegg is out of Edison. NJ? I never knew that. I wonder if they have a retail store there?

I think that's where their major warehouse is, but some items come from other places. I think I may have seen something about local pick up at some point, but I don't think they have an actual store.
