*hope this is sticky worthy, we'll see.
This thread is for movies or tv series that are available on Netflix, Hulu Plus or other streaming services. If you found a gem and it's available online post a quick review and a link if you can.
I'll start with a couple from Netflix:
Grey Gardens http://www.netflix.com/Movie/Grey-Gardens/70020235
(http://www.netflix.com/Movie/Grey-Gardens/70020235)
Jackie O's whacky relatives live in squalor in a dilapidated old Oceanfront Estate.
I love the scene where Little Eddie refers to the neighborhood handyman as her "Marble Fawn" These ladies are batshit crazy but have enough style leftover from the days of yore to make up for it.
Dr. Bronner's Magic Soapbox
http://movies.netflix.com/WiMovie/Dr._Bronner_s_Magic_Soapbox/70073552?trkid=2431209
You're gonna need to have a couple hours to kill and some good weed to enjoy this quirky documentary about hippies and all natural peppermint soap marketed by a man who escaped from an insane asylum. Perfectly enjoyable waste of two hours you'll never get back. This film is no prize, but if it's a rainy day and you got time on your hands, you won't totally regret it.
As for Hulu Plus, I never watched that Celebrity Rehab shit, http://www.hulu.com/celebrity-rehab-with-dr-drew
but it's not too bad to burn through a shitload of them all at once. You can almost multitask while watching this show, -do housework until a cat-fight breaks out. Wash dishes until some narcissistic nancy-boy has a tantrum. This show is better suited to watching on a phone or an ipad than actually wasting all that time watching it on t.v. Perfect shit for a train-commute ;>

Anyone have issues with Red State on Netflix? I've tried watching it several times and the audio rarely syncs up with the video. Made it 3 minutes in and had to turn it off.

Man, the "Lilihammer" series on Netflix is just incredible, -can't believe you guys weren't buzzing about it.
I love the way they totally brought the "Syl" character back from Sopranos. Van Zandt obviously knows what style suits him best, and he sure makes it look easy.
The acting is excellent, the writing is always fresh, everything is reasonably plausible yet still oddly over-the-top.
Fucking Netflix man, they hit this one right out of the park.

I'll definitely check this one out. It's been a while since I really looked at their new format. Do they have a category that lists nothing but original programing and movies that released straight to Netflix?

Just watched the first episode. It looked sketchy at first, but I'm thinking it may be a keeper.

I watched the whole thing. It's a bit formulaic in that it follows a pattern of Johnny being faced with some sort of problem, then just happening across some sort of leverage with someone who can help him fix the problem. Beyond that, it's a fun show. I mean, how can you not enjoy a bunch of naked Norwegian broads running around a lake? Hopefully everyone 5-stars it so Netflix will keep doing projects like this in the future.

I do like that they're releasing Lillyhammer as a whole rather than weekly episodes. Part of the appeal of watching TV on Netflix, after all, is getting to watch the whole damn thing at once if you want. It's good to see that the will be breaking from the standard formula with their own programming.

Yeah, I think that this is the first time something has been released all at once like that. It is obviously the way people like to watch things these days and it's smart to capitalize on it. Despite all the horrendous shittiness that is Netflix, kudos on this one.

"Jesus Christ. You spent all my money on a monkey gettin' a blowjob?"
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
(Just watched that episode of Lillyhammer.)
By the way, all the Starz content on Netflix goes away March 1. You might want to scan through that and see if there's anything there you've wanted to see but haven't yet.

That starz well ran dry for me a while ago, but there are a few gems. I really liked spartacus, but I am a blood, guts, tits, and ass kind of guy. It was way cornish at first but I got into it

Good, can't wait until they're gone. Pretty much all the Starz content were shitty transfers and rarely in the correct aspect ratios.

I agree that in the long run, not paying the money that Starz wanted is going to be good for Netflix, freeing up money for other content deals or original programming. It is going to sting for them short-term, though, since it means they'll be losing content from Disney, which means that the animated Disney and Pixar movies that people were putting on to see if they can get their awful children to shut the fuck up for a while will be gone.

I totally agree that "Lillehammer" does remind me of the sillier moments of "The Sopranos.". Though I watched episode five last night and things definitely got quite a bit darker.
