I have a friend who always says that she should've lived in the Roaring 20's. I picture myself being more comfortable back in the Wild West (except that I hate dirt). Does anybody else feel like they're living in the wrong era?

I should have been born 50 years from now because I'm way ahead of my time.

My hypnotherapist (yes, I have one) once did a past life analysis on me. ANd all I could come up with was that I was around in england in the 1400's, I was a man of respect but not of power, and I was killed out of the blue.

i would've liked to have lived during the 20's also, and in the 60's. only downside is that i'd be really old now :)

I have always thought I should have lived during the Middle Ages. I wouldn't have necessarily have to be born of noble birth, but I would certainly involve myself with swordplay. I don't know why, but I've always identified with this period in history moreso than others. Maybe that explains my normally chivalrous attitudes towards things....

As someone who was conceived as a teenage girl's accident, there is no such thing as being born at the wrong time.

I think, therefore I am..............a moron.

I'm happy right here. the 80's rocked and the 90's were almost as good. Great time to be alive!

I think I should have lived in the 40. After world war II was over though. Women were so stylish back then and the swing music and everything was just way cool.

I love the era I'm born in. I pretty much missed the 80's which was a good thing, and grew up during the 90's. I totally dig where I am.

Was anyone else bothered by being called a "Gen-Xer". That we had no identity and were all slackers?

i don't know about me. i think it would be interesting to think if i would fit in a different time and not just "oh you wouldn't fit anywhere because of no internet" I'm seriously wondering if I would be better off elsewhere.

I'm with DaniGirl on this one...Post World War II 1940's seems like a wonderful era. The women seemed to have such style and elegance, and it was still socially acceptable to be a gentleman and open doors for a lady and such. I'm far too old fashioned for today's world, I think.

I would have liked to be around for the Civil War. Even though it was such a horrible event for our nation, I would have loved to have been there for such a turning point of out country!

I believe I am reborn every 100 years. I live a lifetime, then die, then am reborn 100 years later as someone else, then at the end of time all the lives I have lived will mesh as one with the people I have loved throughout all my lifetimes. Thats what I hope anyways

I wish I grew up in the 70's. I love that whole disco thing, the music, the clothes. Maybe I wouldn't fit in not being able to dance and all.

It would have been great to be with the Pilgrims when they came to what is known now as the US. There were no highways, no factories, etc.

It would have been even better if you are able to go back to that time but knowing how the state of the US is in today. Manhattan was probably just grass and trees in the very beginning...

And most of all, NO Pollution, water was clean and the soil was fertile...

Oh Beautiful, For Spacious ummm! Sorry, getting a little carried away

the 20s in NYC would have been the great. speakeasies, flappers, gangsters, opium dens, some of the best american writers.

either then or the 50's with the begining of the bohemian movemnet in the village. hanging out at the white horse with jack kerouac, allen ginsburg, burroughs. going to see dylan in the late 50's in the park. no better time in NYC.
