I lived for "Hot Wheels" cars, and that track with the loop. My best friend had the crappy ripoff "Johnny Lightning", and "Hot Wheels" cars schooled him LOL!
As for "Matchbox" cars, we all had them. I even had the car from "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" LOL!

what are johnny lighting cars?
hmm perhaps too old school for me i always liked the tonka tow truck myself but hot wheels wa great especially if you ripped the wheels off then you knew you really had fun with this while it lasted

i'm back for the first time to spread my irrational opinions. stay vigilant in spite of al duke's systematic
assault of the ronfez show. one day poo will rise up and strike him down 4ever!!!

I always went for the Matchbox cars, At that time they were made in england and when ever any relatives went over, They always brought back originals which i then proceeded to customize. I made a convertible of the double decker english city bus

I stumble around the Irish Rivieria

Hot Wheels vs.Johnny Lightning.HW hands down(another old game "Hands Down" that is)HW cars were the fastest.I still have a couple of cases of Matchbox cars(blue and yellow carrying case with the picture of a car on it)...somewhere!

p.s. $.55 or 2 for a buck!Talk about old school.

Planning to get rich with all my old crap....

We had the best Hot Wheels race track. There was a "finish line" at the end of the track, and the car that hit it first knocked a divider over so that the loser car would crash into a wall of foam bricks. Plus, the plastic track was bendable and stuff, and great for use as a whip when you got tired of the game and just wanted to beat your brothers up.

My best prize, though, in the entire world, was the Hot Wheels Super Spin Car Wash. With REAL WATER that you squirted on the cars as they went through on the conveyor belt, and then foam rollers, and finally this spinning chamber to dry the car off. That was the best Christmas present I ever got as a kid besides, like, Atari.

Matchbox...

Remember dad taking us to a store named DISKAYS when I was about 5 or 6. They had them all along the back wall...

Wish i held on to them...

Hot Wheels were without a doubt the best, remember their jingle? "Hot Wheels, leading the way!" But Matchbox did make the tiny Trans Ams from Knight Rider.

Whatever I got, I played with. Mostly Matchbox.

Oh, and who made the ones with the panel that flips to reveal damage, so it looks like car crashed into it?

What a great message. Cracking up your car looks COOL!!
