American Marissa Evans is excited to be a grandmother. She’s paid $29,000 to a Mexican surrogate mother, handpicked by her, to have her son’s baby. Thing is her son is dead.

21-year old Nikolas Evans died in 2009 after sustaining a life-threatening brain injury during a fight outside a bar in Austin, Texas. On life support for 5 days, Marissa, 44 was devastated when she had to make the decision was made to pull the plug. But she also made sure she collected some of Nikolas’ sperm before she did. This article does nothing to address the real important matter: If the Mexican is just a surrogate, does this count as an anchor baby or not?????
