if you are reading this and i havent done it yet, its going to be a poll, so just give me a minute.

I got in a discussion at work today and it got on the topic of rage and anger at people who do dumb shit or negative shit towards you, and how human animalistic instinct is to wanna fuck the person up or kill the person, but we dont do that for various reasons. during the discussion i kinda realized that the reason i dont kill people (i dont mean random people, i mean people who deserve to at least be fucked up real good) isnt cause i think its wrong or because religion ingrained it or because i couldnt deal with it on my conscience.

Its because of the possible reprocutions. I dont kill people because of what could happen to me if i got caught. There are tons of situations where i could kill someone and not feel bad about it in the slightest (most are self defense, there are a special few people who really dont deserve to live though). I just dont do it cause of what would happen to me if someone found out.

So, what reason is it that you dont kill people?

This is a timely topic for me. I am in a position where I have to go back to my home town to take care of a rental house I own that has fallen into disrepair due to lack of concern from my property manager.

So I find myself in the situation where I will need to drive across country with the proper tools to take care of yard and house. IF the rotten tenants have in fact vacated. If not, I will have to seek legal action.

At some point I will find myself in Seattle, a city which I have come to hate, under undo circumstances that will require considerable financial and physical outlay. My business will suffer in my absence. My patience will be non existant.

I will be at my neglected house to do all the repair work I can manage and prepare the house for a future renter. Since I will be there under much duress I will have no patience for any kind of bullshit regarding local junkies and thieves that may want to steal from me. Fuck them and their personal habits or possible minority status. I need to take care of my shit and be on my way, I have no time for petty theft or a break in.

Did I mention lack of patience??? Fuck the punk that decides I may be an easy target.........

None of the choices truly fit my thinking. I could surely be driven to lay a good beating down by people over my life, but killing is a whole other level. There are clearly terrible situations that could lead me to possibly kill if needed or there was no other option, but it would definitely not be an easy choice. I hope to never be in any of those type situations through my life, and being pissed at someone for being loud on a subway platform or in traffic for cutting me off clearly not what I'm talking about. We all have anger at times, but if you get to that point for such trivial shit you'll be dead via a massive heart attack soon enough. So truly you're killing someone, just yourself.
