All right, the short story:
Guy wants to take over a property that's been out of business for 3+ years.
Needs a liquor license.
He wants to name the place "Buck Foston's."
His liquor license is running into issues of being granted, and the mayor (who is a Red Sox fan, BTW) says the name is offensive.
What's your take?
I'm a Yankees fan, and personally, I think it's a stupid ass name for a restaurant. If you want to open a sports bar, you need to have a name that welcomes everyone. Just having it dedicated to one team is not really a good situation.
I also think his choice of location is foolish. The Fuddrucker's right across the way just went out of business, and if that's available for sale, he should go with that. MUCH easier to get in and out off Route 1 and it's highly visible from 1.
