I have a stove like this:

But without the electric igniter. It's pretty old. The two burners need to be removed so that I can take off the steel tray and clean the bitch. I've removed a screw from the top center of each burner, but it didn't seem to do anything to release the burners. Any ideas, preferably based on experience?

Nevermind, they just pop off. Thanks for nothing, folks.

Have you tried just popping them off?

I heard you can just pop them off.

That sounds absurd. You probably read that on the Internet, didn't you?
