Its possible.
- The Eagles already have a trade worked out for Kolb with Arizona
- Favre doesnt like training camp, which isnt an issue this year.
- Favre knows the system
- Favres really good friends with Andy Reid
- Vick has a style of play that puts him at a high risk for injury
- Theres nothing really better out there

I'd lock it now, so you don't have to hear the speculation talk.

im with you. ive gotten to the point with favre where i think his arrogance and self importance is hilarious. He is the biggest asshole on the planet and its awesome. And i love how much everyone loves hearing about him too.
I was less disgusted when it leaked out that the Eagles had signed a DOG MURDERER than I am right now. That comment has nothing to do with on field performance, either.

I cant believe people still have the energy to care about the dog thing. I didn't want Vick in Philly, I never liked him in Atlanta in the Ron Mexico days before he was a dog killer, now I just wish he was taller.

Sweet jesus..NOOOOOOOO
I don't think it is going to happen. But with my luck..
"Farve drops back to pass..he is chased out of the pocket..he has Jackson wide open at the 5..and farve throws it and it goes to the 20 and right into the defense backs hands. The Eagles blow another NFC championship game"
But maybe it will work out.."for his DICK"

It's wonderful watching this egomaniac destroy his legacy.

Yeah, he was just sadistically torturing living creatures for fun just because he could. It's not like he was a one hit wonder with a drug addiction. Why fake caring about it anymore?

I laughed at this at first -- until I realized how absolutely logical this idea is.

the reason people get mad has nothing to do with favre on the team or favre having to play. Its jsut that they dont wanna hear people say Brett Favre anymore

As much as I hate to admit it, it does make sense IF he knows coming in he's the second stringer. But that's where the problem lies - is Favre's ego too big for that to happen?

in fairness, he is coming to be backup to a guy who gets hurt every 4 games. So regardless, he will prob get a handful of shots at it. Which is probably way better for him than tryin to play every game

Is it really Brett Favre's fault ESPN is obsessed with him? He just doesn't want to retire, I always found that admirable. I don't know why everyone hates him for it.

I just wish hed be honest with the media. Thats why the speculation goes as long as it does. If he would just say, "Look, im not retiring, but I am tired of training camp. Im too old for that bullshit, and dont wanna be apart of it. So Im gonna sit and rest for awhile, and sign on with a team once camp is done."
I would love it because thats what the truth is, but the media and NFL would shit on him for it so he cant say that.

The feeling here is that Andy Reid is a coach that can motivate him into playing up to his abilities. Put him on a line with Paterson, Cole and Babin and we could have a serious pass rush.

Either way WE ARE FUCKED..Farve is too old and crazy..Young is....Huh Sort of old and CRAZY.
Last year with McNabb...stumble into playoffs and lose first game...get rid of McNabb and use Vick...Stumble into playoffs lose first game. I just hope for something this year..otherwise...THE WALRUS MUST GO.

He doesnt fucking value defense at all. In the NFL. Where the biggest saying is DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS. All I hear is "the organization doesnt put a high value on safeties", "The organization doesnt put a high value on linebacker". I mean WTF? I really hope they are joking about who they claim their starting linebacking core is, because it already looks like they are gonna have to score 30 points a game to win.

Think they will run plays with both V.Y. and Vick in the backfield? Imagine trying (and all the time you will have to waste in practice) to defend that.

Meh. They said the same shit about having Vick and McNabb in the backfield. I dont think they even ever tried it and if they did it got them nothing.

It's really not hard to defend that with a well coached team and when those players can't throw for shit. Now Vick showed a great improvement throwing last year, but still ran too much and got hurt late doing it. As time goes one and he continues to run, it'll take less and less time for it to catch up to him and then they'll be fucked. If the Eagles are smart, they'll line up and throw the ball and actually throw it with Vick saving his legs for the postseason. At that point teams will plan for his legs, but at least now they'll focus on throwing. He'll be a threat later versus being crippled as has happened in the past. If you go with VY be ready for the same thing just with no ability to read the defenses and find open wrs. He'll run with Jackson WIDE open down the seam and pass to the TE all day long. By TE I mean the turf in front of Celek McNabb style.

True but McNabb was basically a pocket passer at that stage of his career. They have so much speed.
