I watched the first episode last night and really enjoyed it. Beyond just seeing Wilfred as a human in a dog suit, Wilfred spurns Ryan (Elijah Wood) into thinking for himself and doing the unexpected....until now he's led a boring life of doing what he's told and staying out of trouble. With Wilfred's help he's now stealing pot plants from his asshole neighbor and shitting in his boots for good measure. I thought it was really funny and ridiculous....I felt as psychotic as Ryan does coming to terms with being able to talk to Wilfred. He's constantly forgetting he's the only one who sees him that way while he stumbles through talking to his pissed off sister about "his new friend Wilfred" while she screams at him for not showing up at the hospital for a job she set up. And as awkward as it is to watch your own actual dog hump a strangers leg, its even more horrifying when your watching a full grown man in a dog suit hump a strangers leg.

Anyway, i can't wait for the next episode.....I want to find out what got Ryan all fucked up in the first place. So far we know his dad is REALLY pissed at him, he lost his job as a lawyer some how, and he's already tried to kill himself with sugar pills thinking they were anxiety meds. I don't expect many answers this season, or if ever, but i'm hyped for this show.

Fez needs a Wilfred.

And yeah, that show was weird and funny as shit. Frodo is a good comedy actor.

I didn't watch it, but is this a new show? It sounded so familiar, I thought it used to be on IFC a few years ago.

They did two seasons in Australia, but the dude who played wilfred in that is reprising his role for the American version. They've been hyping it up all week on the virus.

I think there was a Australian version of the show. I heard Elijah Wood's interview on O&A yesterday and Norton really pumped up this show. I didn't think it was as great as Norton made it seem but I'll give it another shot next week.

I know, I listen, I just wasn't sure if IFC had played this version. I wasn't interested in the show back then and I'm not interested in the current reincarnation.

I liked it enough to keep watching.

I had one issue, though. I realize it's a nitpick, but all the other characters looked at Wilfred as if he was human height. They'd be looking towards the floor, even if Ryan sees him as human height. (Yes, I realize you can just say Ryan is hallucinating it that way, too, but... copout!)

The D-man's reads told me nothing, but the interview with Opie's manboy crush Elijah made me want to watch it. Is it on hulu?

I liked it up until the dog was introduced. Couldn't make it halfway through the show.

Was leaning towards giving up on it, but there were some good, dark, laugh out loud moments in this week's ep.

Anyone else still watching?

I was in the same place, but enjoyed the "Hospice" episode as well. The previous week's peanut butter-themed show annoyed the piss out of me.

On the whole its been funnier than Louie all season. I'll keep watching. But on a difft note, I dont get why Rashida Jones pops up in so many sitcoms. She's never the funny one in any scene on any show. Boo Rashida Jones.

did anybody else know that they played an all new episode last week? I just got it On Demand, and it was all new, they called it a preview episode although it wasn't a show full of previews of the upcoming season, it was more about what's been happening since the accident. It has Robin Williams in it.

It definately had a different feel than the normal episodes, kind of a One Flew Over episode. It had a couple of laughs though.

We checked last week and it didn't list a new ep. Sure it wasn't this week they put up on the on demand early? Guess I'll check it out.

The season premiere was so much better than the standalone episode was. I guess the other was just to establish that Ryan is working a new job and is missing Wilfred.

Also, I loved how Wilfred was working Packers references into every discussion.

Healthy fratboy Wilfred is hilarious. Just hearing him say "Roy-an" makes me laugh a little. Great show. Conversely, I couldnt even make it to the first commercial break of that Charlie Sheen bullshit. And I didnt even try the Russel Brand bullshit.

Drewby doobie doo!

I liked both episodes. I started cracking up when the nurse zaps Robin Williams and he shouts SHAZBOT. LMAO

Although Im kind of curious as to who the fuck walled up his basement. I really hope they arent just gonna float over that like it didnt happen now.
