how is it sad. we all listened at some point. We post here now and know each other. Just because a show became subpar, that means we should stop talking? 99% of whats on this board has nothing to do with the show. is that sad too?

Just my opinion...

I've actually been thinking about this a lot lately. I may be a total rube, if so whatever...

I think if Ron wants a daily show, it has to be Ron and Fez because that's what Sirius wants. I suspect that Ron and Fez do very well, they must because:
1. they allow Ron to do 2 spin-off shows
2. a very cheap company (to be fair, right now all companies are cheap) hires weekend talent on their channel.

Ron has mentioned a few times that the suits really don't care about Fez's personality on the show, because things just seem to be working. Especially when the economy is bad, major corporations stick with sure-things. They know they'll get x-amount of revenue from Ron and Fez, Ron Bennington alone is an unknown, as is Ron and Dave. This is the reason we are seeing so many sequels, remakes and comic book movies. Low risk.

I think Ron wants to do great radio, he really loves the business and comedy, and wants to do something that incorporates the two. He seems to want to archive comedians. I know it must have killed him when he was doing a lot of shows with Opie and they did stuff with Louis CK and Gervais, then had to return to his friend of 2 decades holding on to his desk for dear life for no apparent reason and just telling the truth when asked a question.

Fez barely speaks on the show. How could THAT be a bit? Ron is CLEARLY annoyed at the advice show. NOTHING comedic comes out of Fez while he's paralyzed with fear. All Ron can do is try to talk to him to bring him into the show. Ron is doing his best to make this work for his own show and his friend of two decades.

I don't think Fez is being seflish and not leaving, I actually think Fez leaving would hurt Ron's career very much too. Again, the commodity being sold is RON AND FEZ. I think the reason Ron was on with Opie a few weeks back is because he's trying to branch off and market himself differently. I don't listen to Opie and Anthony anymore, but is it possible that Anthony has one foot out the door? I know he does overnight work with FoxNews, and he seems he'd fit a lot more in a right-wing talk format. Ron and Opie moving off "the virus" and onto say, Howard 100, would make the most logical sense. I think it's just a matter of time.

I stopped listening when the moved from wnew. I was excited when the moved to satellite radio, but didn't have the means to make the purchase. I catch some of the shows if I happen to be with a buddy of mine who was it, but besides that all I know of the show anymore is based on this board. And I tend to stay away from threads about the show. I guess it's because of lack of interest and also that so many of them are just negative things. I'd rather take a gander at why DSpy likes being a guy.
