I just learned that my local radio station (40 miles from Boston) has changed from broadcasting the Red Sox (for the past 40 years at least) to broadcasting the Yankees games as of opening day of this year.

Yeah, really odd. The station GM claims that a contract to broadcast extension wasn't even offered to the station.

as far as I know there hasn't been a management change in the last 2 or 3 years. I suppose that management may have changes since the last time the contract was renewed.

I guess I can understand the argument against offering to renew the contract but I can't imagine that any station manager would CHOOSE to drop Red Sox coverage in favor of Yankees this close to Boston.

i didnt say it was all in spite of Theo. But alot of it was. He didnt wanna do the beckett deal, which was a major deal for us. there were a few other key moves he didnt want, including Milar. Plus im still angry that he fuckin stuck us with Carl Crawford.

Besides, the more i see the nonsense he is doin in chicago right now, the more i think he didnt really do shit in boston
