I just moved into my new place and my router is providing pretty shaky service. I can only get one 2 out of every 3 websites on the first try. For that 1/3, I reload the page and it works but this is no way to live. My router is a D-Link DIR-655. What can I do to fix this?

You probably have a bad DNS server there. I'd override the DNS settings provided by your new ISP with settings from a third party. Try one of these two:
Google Public DNS (http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/)
OpenDNS (http://www.opendns.com/)
Doesn't sound like the problem is the connection itself.

Try this forum

Also try to reset the router, reset your wireless from your computer.
Also just do a search on The Google.
Hope this helps

Another great help site
http://www.dslreports.com
They help with all types of connection problems as well as computer problems. Give them a try. I received tons of help from that site...good luck

When my system was new it had trouble connecting on the 2nd pc. After maybe a week or so it was fine. Whats going on with yours could work itself out also.
