I could be more entertained watching The Rock read a book in the ring for an hour then I would be watching 97% of the shit the WWE has had on PPV the last 3 years. But thats just me. The rock hosting is a huge factor as to why I'm even into WM this year. Although his verbal, via satellite, battle with Cena went from great to boring real fast, I am still looking forward to seeing what the Rock brings this year.
If he "fails" to deliver then I think it would do irrepairable damage to his image with the fans. In any generation.

This fued took me from complete Miz hater to Miz tolerator. I would like to see a strong work ethic by both in this match. I hope Miz's boyfriend Reilly stays out of the match and I really hope that whatever the ending it makes Miz come out strong. The guy is already an afterthought in a 3 way dance with Cena and Rocky.

Winner:Cena will be super Cena, we all know this.

Too much going on here for a WM main event. Clay and Christian should have been a seperate match. I never understood why active wrestlers need to be in other active wrestlers corners. Is Christian going to hold Edges hand down the aisle like Ms Liz? Blech.
Alberto Del Rio should be tamed and sent back to the mid Card. To much too fast.

Winner: Edge due to botched interference.

Match with the most potential to steal the show. HHH and Taker are both going to put 110% into this match and it will be the best thing on the card for fans of all ages. Can wait for it.

Winner: Taker because the fucking streak is the last bit of goddamn sacred territory in "Sports Entertainment"

Although I like CM Punk a lot this is not going to hold my interest for a minute. I still don't get orton and I think I never will at this point.

Winner: My bladder for the bathroom break I get for this one.

Wrestling storytelling at its finest. A great build up. The best legend, in my opinion, to carry the role due to his history with Andy Kaufman and Jimmy Hart. They should have put as much effort and creativity into some of the other matches, but it should be great to see a 61 year old and an announcer upstage most of the undercard.

Winner: Jerry "The King" Lawler will finally shut Cole up in the name of all of us long suffering fans. AND I BETTER SEE A FUCKING PILEDRIVER FINISH!! TAKE A GREAT BUMP COLE AND EARN THE RESPECT OF MILLIONS!!

This should hold the "Savage/Steamboat" spot in the card. I like both these guys and I hope the tell the story of the Technician vs the brawler.

The Corre vs. Santino Marella, Vladimir Kozlov, Kane and The Big Show.
This ones for the kids. Which it shouldn't be because the match should have been Barrett vs Big Show or Kane.

Winner: Stupid Santino dane at the end just so the kids laugh. (And TripleSkeet)

Blech, this is a WWE Superstars calibur match at best.

How is it that no titles changed hands, they put the US title as a dark match, then change it to a lumberjack/ battle royal, and have Lawler lose because of the Raw "GM" who I think has been Cole all along. Also have no Intercontinental, Tag or Diva title matches.
From what I read, Taker/HHH and Orton's RKO on Punk were the only highlights.
Sounds pretty boring. Glad I didn't order it.:thumbdown:

Just read the report.
How is it that no titles changed hands, they put the US title as a dark match, then change it to a lumberjack/ battle royal, and have Lawler lose because of the Raw "GM" who I think has been Cole all along. Also have no Intercontinental, Tag or Diva title matches.
From what I read, Taker/HHH and Orton's RKO on Punk were the only highlights.
Sounds pretty boring. Glad I didn't order it.:thumbdown:

It's a shitty ending regardless. The crowd had no clue who to cheer for.. Then out comes The Rock in full tweener mode and they still have no clue who to cheer for as he buries both main eventers in the middle of the ring and celebrates to his music. Whatever little character The Rock is trying to play, he sucks at it. He kept doing that twitchy shit like he was about to "snap" or something.

I was listening to the Observer podcast this morning, and Dave was theorizing that since so many people were calling these matches predictable beforehand, that he wouldn't be surprised if Vince got flustered and would end up rewriting all kinds of shit.

I gotta argue this one. After Shawn came out on Raw, it certainly made you think he'd play a role (why show up at all if you're not going to be in the match); but the way the promo ended, with Shawn psyched out and basically saying HHH bit off more than he could chew, it makes total sense that he wants no part in facing Taker ever again.

But him showing up on Raw was definitely effective. It took what seemed like a thrown-together match and gave it way more weight than was there a week before.

And had he shown up at Mania, it would have been for the worse. 2-on-1 takes away all the pathos of the "I'm going to kill you or die trying" storyline. You really can't argue that they did anything wrong in that match (except for so many finisher kick-outs).

Taker-HHH sucked too. The last half of the match was finisher/lay on the mat for 30 seconds/lather-rinse-repeat. Not to mention the Hell's Gate application was 1) exposed and 2) was sloppy. Sorry.

It was definitely a letdown. I cant believe people liked that Taker / HHH match. It couldnt hold a candle to the last one they had. It looked like they had no time and automatically went into as many high spots as they could. HHH just doesnt have the talent to carry Taker like he used to. Next year hopefully theyll put him with someone like Punk.

The main event was brutal, but that crowd fucking sucked too. They were dead all night. I wont mind it if it actually leads to a feud that will have The Rock on Raw every week.

For me the best part of the night was when he went face-to-face with Austin. I actually got chills. Also thought The Mizs promo video was incredible. Really well done.

I cant believe they dropped Bryan / Sheamus. Terrible move. And they really do need to make MITB part of Mania again.

Snooki held her own, I really cant say anything bad about her appearance.

The Del Rio / Edge match showed exactly why I never watch Smackdown. Nothing special about that match whatsoever.

Thats so not true. There were plenty of Nitros where Sting didnt show up. Or theyd use a fake Sting, or even a fucking manequin with a Sting mask. Not to mention over a year put into one match and they have it end with all kinds of questions with people not even knowing who really won.

1. Even though he hit the rope he was still able to roll through it.

2. Right before the jump, with the way the camera was angled the Titantron kind of takes your attention away from the live wrestler. I found myself looking at him on that doing something completely different because thats what drew my eye.

I know Im in the minority, but I seperate the private life of the wrestlers and athletes I follow. I really dont care what Angle does in his personal life, hes always entertained me in the ring.

While I would never justify what Benoit did, the guy was an amazing wrestler and had some awesome matches and it drives me crazy when I see the WWE just erase him off of old PPVs like he never existed. That doesnt punish him, it punishes the fans by not letting them see an awesome match.

You hear a lot that Sheamus has a job because he's a really good spotter...and I think it might be true. He's always the catcher for these important high flying spots. They're evidently going to trust him to make Mistico look good, and he was the guy who caught Nitro at the Elimination Chamber.

Too bad he couldn't have been the one catching Taker on his big dive on Sunday. That looked like it SUCKED.
